First game did count, it gave LSU the SEC title and control of their own destiny.
It put Alabama on the outside looking in and needing help, which they got.
Sometimes in sports you get lucky.
Any LSU fan should understand that given their recent history of luck as well.

That shite would never happen again. Nobody wanted it except for ESPN and had they known how bad the game would tank in ratings, they wouldn't have knighted so hard for Alabama in the first place. The rest of the country is sick of the SEC.

2. I did not say that at all. The regular season game counted as a regular season game. The championship game counted as a championship game. Only corndogs struggle with that concept.

Without question, no other CFB teams were close to Bama & LSU in 2011
1st, that will probably be the two best defenses in CFB we'll ever see in the same game. They both we're special indeed. How LSU didn't get beat worst than 21-0 in that BCS Title game. Amazes me still and it speaks huge volumes to how good that LSU defense was. Should've been 49-0 or worse. The only differences between Bama & LSU teams in 2011. Was Bama had a better Offense. That was the best Bama Defense I've seen in all my years while watching Bama too. That Bama bunch didn't want to give an inch or any points up and played possessed. When you get down to it, that rematch was a once in a blue-moon type situation. Like the 1996 rematch between Florida & FSU was. Plus, it was special like CFB's 2007 season with everyone having 2 loses at seasons end. My point is, those 3 situations above aren't happening a bunch. I can promise this much. The cards & breaks have to fall just right, and that's a tough thing to pull off once. Alone twice.......
EDIT:
I wouldn't care if both Bama & LSU shared that 2011 BCS Title because it seems fair without a 3rd game played. Plus, the last thing I want to see.... is a bunch 2011 Bama & LSU players playing a 3rd game. When they're in their 80's & 90's.
