And they still won't read the damn thread.

I read the whole thread. I think it's pretty stupid actually. Just because someone didn't go to the University doesn't mean they are more mature and dont flame as much as someone that did not.

I'm going to go out on a limb and claim that any major state university in the nation has more non-attendee fans than fans that actually attended.

So, your "theory" would be quite obvious given the attendee/non-attendee ratio.

Well, you may have read it, but I guess you didn't get what I was saying. Goodbye.

It's like creating a thread saying that people who graduated college are smarter than people who didn't go to college.

Stupid.

Now, take your dumb posts back to the rant with the rest of you're little ranter buddies.

Go back and find where I said that nonattendees were bad fans, not as good or not as deserving. Please. Go find it.

The long term effects of the Alabama/Auburn rivalry have created some interesting hybrids.

One of my very close colleagues was raised as a rabid Bama fan, but attended Auburn because of his choice of fields. He is still a rabid Bama fan.

I also work with a man who played baseball on scholarship for Bama during the 80's and graduated at the Capstone, yet he is an Auburn football fan.

I got three scholarships out of high school. Alabama and UAB were tuition only. I took the full ride to Jacksonville State. Bama and JSU won national championships in '92 while I was there. GREAT year!

I have taken classes at Auburn University Montgomery as well. It's a dump. I have had to delay my masters work due to my family. I am thinking of restarting at UA in the next couple of years.

My brother in law is a bama fan, but he has season tickets to Auburn and graduated from Auburn(great guy). My sister is a rabid Auburn fan.. she makes me look tame.

Hopefully, I will fly in to see the WV game this year.

I like both schools. The freakin fan base of Alabama is nuts.

Although I've been 'enrolled' in a few state institutions, UA wasn't one of them. Family ties. Did the military. Now attending U of Hawaii.

I should also add that, even though I am a student here, I have a hard time giving a shite about Rainbow Warrior athletics(or the WAC at all). I attend some games, but can't even force myself to wear UH gear(don't own a single shirt, hat,etc...), so I'm still in crimson and white. Oh, and I could give half a shite about the UH art school. I don't even know/care if we have one.

I love the Tide fans on TD. I think we got all the best Alabama fans here, and the Tide fan sites are populated by the shallow end of the gene pool.

Twice, returned for Masters Degree.
This thread is meaningless. Take away
the fan base who did not attend of any
school and you're left with a big empty
hole.

For the Bama fans on this board
is it safe to say that auburn's fan base is a higher percentage of their alums than bama?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, they have a larger alum based fan base. This has more do to the fact that Auburn has a smaller fan base period due to lower appeal across the country.

I did not go to AU but to a small college in Dothan Alabama we did not have a football team, but we did have a good baseball team. Does this make me not be able to appreciate football or to be respectful of other fans – No!

I find that people have a wide range of temperaments and that does not have a correlation to education. The person’s temperament has more to do with how they react than dose the level of education. I have known professors that could not handle confrontations and custodians that were a pillar of restraint.

What I do know is that when people are behind a key board or at games were their opinion is the majority they act very differently.

I went to UAH. I was a lifelong Bama fan, who almost ended up at Auburn to study wildlife biology. Changed my mind and ended up following a woman to UAH.
