You increased your lead on OSU.

Rankings are:
1. LSU = 108.46
2. Bama = 99.56
3. OSU = 97.18
4. Arky! = 95.75
5. KSU = 93.65
6. OU = 92.35
7. Baylor = 90.68
8. Houston = 90.17
9. Oregon = 89.3
10. Stanford = 89.14

It will be interesting to see how far up an OSU win could push them up next week, but the gap grew larger than I expected this week.

I don't think computer scores are a concern for Bama. It is a forgone conclusion that OSU will win the computers with a win against OU. Problem is OSU has no chance to get the needed human votes because Stanford won yesterday.

Bama has some computer points that OSU could use because they are #2 in a couple of polls. So it does matter for that.

And you're naive if you don't think it's possible that voters will jump OSU over Stanford if they beat OU.

I was 95% before, but with the Stanford win and Bama win it is now 100%. There is literally no way OSU can catch Bama.

It's strange how the posters on the OSU boards and some other CFB boards believe Bama is close to a lock. I would guess the OSU boards are about 85% saying Bama is in with a win yesterday. Yet LSU fans continue to doubt what every one in the media and other CFB see, Bama is in.

No chance is an overstatement. Their chances with a simple win declined with VT/Stanford. But if they beat OU by > 2 TDs, they certainly have a chance.

No offense, or all offense I don't care, but I think it's likely Bama is in. But you said "no chance" and you're naive if you think there's "no chance" or that Bama is a "lock." Neither of those things are true.

Though it's very likely Bama will be in the NC.

I don't disagree they have a chance. I think it's pretty small though, even with a 2 TD win against Okie. That loss to TT was crushing to them in voters' eyes I think. Especially considering Baylor laid 66 on them with Griffin out half a game.

OSU biggest problem is that they are competing for votes with two other programs. They are losing to both of them now. It would be impossible for them to get all their votes and get the amount of second place votes required. If VT beats Clemson, avenging their only loss I expect VT to be a very strong third in human polls. Even getting a few second place votes. IF VT loses, OSU will still be splitting votes with Stanford.

I think there may be a misunderstanding about Sagrian and the BCS. There are 2 separate Sagrian ratings. This one and the one that he reports to the BCS. The BCS forces the computers to include certain factors. One of the computer ratings guys even dropped out in protest

Because human voters are much more objective than a computer? As a fan of a Bama-LSU matchup, human voters are what worry me the most. With Bama sitting idle next week, OSU destroying OU (their only way in and they know it), and an anti-SEC bias building, it is very easy to start justifying things in the mind of a human voter. Particularly one who has a stake in ensuring his/her conference is not overshadowed by the SEC.

Don't you remember 1966?

No confusion at all about the Sagarin, ELO Chess is used for the BCS formula. And those are 2 whiney sports writers, no computer formula used in the BCS has dropped out.

66 was a case of civil rights era interfering with voters more than anything.

Congrats Bama fans. Your loss to LSU at home means nothing. Let's hope LSU doesn't lose someone to injury next week while you're resting.

Your statements with percentages mean nothing. It's up to the voters and Okie Lite.

Personally I believe Ok st is gonna lose anyway.

Not really. Bama and Lsu are heads and tails above anyone else. BCS matches the 2 best teams. Lsu just has the unfortunate case of #2 being in the same division this yr. Still maintain it's no different than Bama having had to play Fla 2 times in a season just to win the SEC. Had they lost the 2nd game, they wouldn't have won crap either, even though they had beaten them once before in the regular season. It's the system we've got and if it turns out to be Lsu vs Bama, it will have gotten it right, it will match 1 vs 2.
