Where have you been when all the delusional corn dogs where saying Bama had no chance to make it to the NC.

ELO Chess is just wins losses and doesn't take into account for points scored. It's used by the BCS. The Predictor takes points scored and is a better predictor of future games.
They have OSU 4th on the Predictor.
They have OSU 4th on the Predictor.

Based on what? Virginia tech and Stanford are stealing Oklahoma states critical 3rd place votes. That is a fact and not at all false.
okie state still has a top 10 team left to play. Stanford is done and va tech is playing a Clemson team that just got trucked by the fifth best team in the sec.

I understand. But with Stanford winning the chances of them getting 25% second place votes and jumping Stanford for the remaining 3rd place votes is again...slim to none.

We heard the scared posters saying there was no chance of Bama being in the NC game. No chance at all. It was funny and sad at the same time.

If an exception is going to be made, of course it will be made for Bama. In 2007, ESPN said UGA couldn't go because they didn't win their division, much less conference. Now that it's Bama in THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO..."Who cares". Typical Bama bias.

quote:Yes, contingent on Stanford and Va Tech not being in the way. There was also a bunch of Bama fans saying there was zero chance that Okie would've jumped Bama if it were just down to the 2 of them. I guess we'll never know now.

I'm leaning towards Alabama getting in but I'm still nervous. People who think OSU has a GOOD chance.......what do y'all think all the west coasters will do with their votes? Surely they won't say frick you Stanford and all vote OSU will they?

Yeah, I agree. I could really see the anti-Bama vote being split right down the middle. West coast will have a lot of votes for Stanford - East coast will have a lot of votes for Va Tech if they win next week. For OSU to have a chance, I think it was imperative to have both of the others lose again

It's all but a foregone conclusion now. I don't think an LSU loss + a VT loss would do it. Bama is going to the MNC.

Scared posters
This is soooo tired. We beat you at your place and started a qb who hurt us with two horrible picks We don't give two shits who we play. It's just dull to consider a rematch.
If okie state thumps OU they get in.

Watch the ESPN coverage starting Thursday or so. If you start hearing complaints about LSU-Bama then be afraid. If you do not then you are in.
And yes, I do believe that voters from other conferences would gang up on the SEC in a heartbeat. What do they have to gain by letting us showcase our talent on the national stage?
Nothing.

Bama has some computer points that OSU could use because they are #2 in a couple of polls
Try 4 of the 6 computers. Same position as OSU was in last week when LSU were declaring it computer superiority.

Still maintain it's no different than Bama having had to play Fla 2 times in a season just to win the SEC. Had they lost the 2nd game, they wouldn't have won crap either, even though they had beaten them once before in the regular season. It's the system we've got and if it turns out to be Lsu vs Bama, it will have gotten it right, it will match 1 vs 2.
This is correct. I've been flaming Bammers here and ther, but do believe LSU/BAMA for BCSNC is the correct answer.
