I'm basically counting on OSU to lose to OU.

Exactly. Something that had nothing to do with who was best influencing the vote.

Human voters are human.

yeah.. it was a southern backlash, not just a Bama backlash. Totally different scenarios. Okie St won't be moving from 6th to 2nd after playing one game.

Influencing a bunch of media hacks is one thing, influencing CFB coaches and others in the business is much more difficult. I have see no evidence of the anti-SEC movement that I keep hearing about.
All I have seen is that the voters are voting who they think deserves. Just last week they voted three in the top three, has only happened once in the history of CFB. Doesn't seem anti-Sec to me.

Just remember that voters will see okie state one last time, but not Bama or Stanford. Style points will matter in that game.

They won't beat Oklahoma, if they do at all, like Bama beat Auburn.

Fair enough. We will see how open and honest the BCS voting system is in two weeks.

We will find out in two weeks. There is always a hidden agenda. And no, I do not trust the human voters to do the right thing.

The only thing I would like to know is if Bama won 9-6 in OT, would LSU be in the same position as Bama? Obviously they are the two best teams in the country, But I have wondered if LSU would have barely dropped in the polls, like Bama, had they lost that game. Who knows. Unless OSU drops 60 on OU and VT loses, I don't see Bama being nudged out of the #2 spot. This game will be epic.

As a side note, I hope all the media assbags don't trash the game again if the score ends up in single digits. They have been clamoring for this matchup, so I hope they find entertainment in an "unwatchable" defensive battle.

I think if the score had been reversed, Lsu would definitely be in the same spot and there would be a rematch still.

Bama is sitting pretty now that both teams won. The chance of getting past is slim to none now.

Problem is OSU has no chance to get the needed human votes because Stanford won yesterday.

You never know about the human vote, I think it will be surprising, but do think Alabama and LSU will play again.

Voters know how terrible Auburn is, so margin of victory won't help you much. And voters also have bad long term memories. They'll have 1 day to forget the okie state game and 8 to forget Bama beating a bad auburn team.

I think it was about 50/50 if both Stanford and Va Tech lost. Va Tech still could obviously, but Stanford winning all but sealed the deal for Bama.

Based on what? Virginia tech and Stanford are stealing Oklahoma states critical 3rd place votes. That is a fact and not at all false.
