There isn't a bit of difference between Richt and Kirby.
Richt is Kirby and Kirby is Richt. Same guy and results.

We will see if Kirby gets content or not.
As an outsider looking in:
If Kirby changes to a semi-spread offense with a dual threat QB (Fields would have been perfect) Georgia might be unstoppable. I think for him to be successful he needs to change it up on the offensive side, hire someone who can run mixed offense and then go wild.
Clemson kind of showed us that the power running game is ebbing right now and the league seems to be swinging back to the spread (it seems to do this every decade).

And yet it's amazing that the fictitious trophy for "doing it best" is called "The Fulmer Cup"
Nothing amazing about its name. A gator fan came up with it.

If he is unable to reach Atlanta and beat Alabama it’ll start to unravel.
That fanbase won’t tolerate 3 epic chokes in a row.

Maybe he is, eventually. But the evidence over three ye s has proven them to be the same guy.
That’s fine because Early richt was elite.

I could see the Richt/Smart jokes continuing for a while. A 2004 type performance from this team would not surprise me.

Absolutely. The schedule is tough for them this year, ND, Auburn, Texas A&M, plus an ever imrproving and likely top 10 Florida team

Really? Then why was richt just fired from Miami? What was richt’s record the past 3 seasons and what was Kirby’s? Richt wasn’t fired for his first 3 seasons at UGA, but don’t let that hurt your narrative.

Didnt Tennessee just have a player arrested for sucker punching a police officer?

I tell people all the time Kirby will never be like Saban. Only Saban can win with multiple arrested (and never charged) players.
Kirby does have the standard “this will be handled internally” down though.

I'm surprised he was arrested. A few years back UT players had a full-on brawl with a cop at a bar and not even a hand slap ensued. UT and Awbun protect their players. UT did have to stop the Whorestess Program though. Some of the players getting serviced were under 18.

It his fourth freaking year dumbass and Kirby has done just fine the last 2 years.
Speaking of unraveling.AU is still holding to a 4 loss per year coach who has a shite record vs his rivals. He still hasn't beat LSU,Bama or UGA on the road.

Pretty far from a guarantee that Richt gets there if he had one

No, it is a guarantee Just like Kirby, Richt would have had UGA in the playoffs his second year in 2002
In the playoffs, but no guarantee that he would have made the National Championship game.

I do think a lot of how his tenure goes depends on how he handles these issues.
But controlling college kids seems to be like herding cats.
