Taggart ain't going anywhere, he inherited a mess.

He inherited the 5th ranked Team Talent Composite with 43 Blue Chips.

In comparison, Jim McElwain inherited the 15th ranked team and only 25 Blue Chips.

Keep in mind, in 2015 McElwain had no Quarterback for half a season after Will Grier was suspended midseason and Treon Harris is a WR at Tennessee State.

Jim McElwain won ten games with a broken line, literally no QB for half of the season, no kicker and only one active RB that wasn't a Freshman.

That's a fricking mess.

FSU is not the problem, Taggart is 100% the problem.

The ACC doesn't draw as many TV viewers as the SEC. It wasn't long ago that the ACC conference championship game was barely getting 25,000 fans into the stadium in North Carolina. And Im sure a lot of "fans" were free ticket holders and boys club and youth club giveaways.

This why ESPN has been pimping Clemson, they need desperately to have cable viewers watch ACC football and protect their investment. For years ESPN lost their shirts with contracts with the ACC.

The ACC needs a strong FSU and Miami to support the conference and it hasn't happened for a while. Miami has a hard time drawing 25-30,000 fans into a rented pro stadium that is almost an hour drive from campus.

The ACC is a basketball conference, face it. Im sure the contract that ESPN has with the ACC includes wording that the total amount ESPN pays out can be lessen if total viewership drops beyond an acceptable level. The bean counters in Bristol, Ct don't GAS about football.

By the time the SEC-ESPN contract is up we will have paid over 20 years of that note, so for us its ok.

Defaulting on the last third of bonded indebtedness is "ok"?

There aren't a lot of people within a 100 mile radius of Tallahassee compared to other power 5 programs. There are around 500k more people within 100 miles of Lincoln NE, than Tally

and for years (maybe it has changed; don't know) there simply were not enough hotel rooms in tally to house folks having to drive so far to a game. that put night games a rarity and day games hot as frick. you have to put a top team on the field just about every year to fight those obstacles.

Viewership means nothing when you peg payments to in-state conference viewers, who are forced to pay for those channels, like it or not.

That's how TV contracts have been set up for cable and which is why Rutgers was added to the Big 10 and SMU, the University of Houston or Texas Tech would've done the same thing for the SEC cable TV contracts as aggy.

That had zero affect when Bobby was around. I would go to three or four FSU games a year growing up. The RV parking lot was always slammed. The place was always packed. A lot of the old guard money dried up when FSU pushed Bobby out the door the way they did.

There are more rooms now, but the prices are jacked up on football weekends.

The worst thing (not for us though) is they didn't look any better at the end of the season then they did at the start. I mean one of our own players had to point out to their sideline that they only had 10 guys on the field.

I do think they'll be much better in the future and have a good shot at 8-4 this year. Maybe all that talk about Taggart being a supposedly better coach than Mullen and elite recruiter has humbled their fans.

8-4 is my hope, but if they have any oline injuries it could be ugly.

That oline can improve and still be bad. It's crazy how bad that unit has been

I was going to post it but couldn't find the Gif. I know it's on Twitter, but it was CGJ telling the FSU staff that he doesn't have anyone to cover ( ) and pointing it out to their staff that they're down a guy.

I mean, if people want to continue to be completely blind to the fact that Taggart is a bust, I support them wholeheartedly. I hope he retires at FSU in 20 years.

Not that I disagree, but your program has done similar stuff.
