When you say aggressively gay lifestyle, do you mean flamboyantly gay or rapey gay? One is funny, the other not so much. Maybe their is a third aggressively gay lifestyle, but not sure what it would be. I would think an aggressively gay person might prefer California after all. Or maybe this is all BS, and he just didn't appreciate being forced to room with a sexual predator.
Maybe. Ask a Gator fan. The info I saw made it seem like he was always trying to hook-up with guys. I really don't care. I regularly hook-up with girls so I am not going to blame anyone for trying to get some. But, I do know that there has to be more to it than the official line.

Dude. You've got more mouth than trophies, too. And with the number of trophies Alabama has, that's saying something.

I don’t remember anyone on the football team trashing Fields on Twitter when his transfer was announced.

Don't like it. At all. Very childish honestly. Let him go and leave it be. Kid wanted to leave, no reason to do this nonsense.

This. Mullen needs to have a talk with the players about it too. It's a bad look.

Nothing wrong with being gay at all.
But, imagine if Chris Steele is actually gay and walked in on his roommate having heterosexual sex with a chick. That might freak him out to want to move out. It's the equivalent of a straight male walking in on two dudes doing it. Most straight men would want to leave that situation.
If this is even true. I think Chris Steele is just using the whole thing as an excuse to get a waiver. Something doesn't quite add up.

I was kind of trying to make a joke because Carolina has been a destination of Fla ex pats
I mean, I got it even if no one else did but the only three ex-pats I can think of that you might be referring to are Darrin Hambrick twenty something years ago whose brother Troy was already here. Steve SPURrier who we technically got after a stint with the Redskins, no Florida. And mUSChamp who was never a Gator .... he’s a Dawg, LSU, Dolphin, Aubie guy more than a Gator. If anything he’s out to get revenge on the Gators.
But I guess I get where you were coming from in an odd round-about sorta way.
I mean we had John Reaves here as an assistant for a couple of years under Brad Scott I think it was maybe .... are you talking about John Reaves?
Help me, who am I forgetting? You make a decent point I think.
With regard to Steele, most Gamecock fans are thanking our lucky stars we didn’t get him after all of this quite honestly. He really pissed off our fans with some of his tweets evidently.

It was mostly a joke at the OP. I wish nothing bad on the guy and he seemed to be talented. I think he will eventually find success.

Fans =/= Former teammates
Also, questioning a kid's attitude and abilities is a little different than pushing theories that the kid is gay and that's why no one wants him around... This really does come across as a weird look... Even for Gators.

I guess calling him out on social media once he’s already gone is better than understanding his position and wishing him well.
Maybe Jalon Jones wasn’t the only freshman Gator that the team disliked.
He's homesick and using the Jalon angle as an excuse to play immediately. He only had indignation when his name was included in several reports from the victims. He couldn't wait to move home and throw Florida under the bus by saying they wouldn't accommodate him.
The players are defending their coach because Mullen can't respond (confidentiality reasons).

Funny...I remember a certain coach saying they didn’t do a very good job recruiting if players were walking out the door so soon.
Pot meet kettle.

Regardless of the trash talk between UF, and UGA fans. Dan needs to step in and tell his players not to be on Twitter, and wherever else putting Steele on blast. Mullen wants to be seen as a “hip” coach cuz he’s wearing Jordan 3’s, but it looks as if he’s very much out of touch!
Just my thoughts on something I read a few days ago... So Mullen and his wife flew out to California to talk with Steele’s mom? That to me seems like damage control, and I don’t mean the kind where it’s “ stay, we will make it better.”. There is more to the reason why he went out there!
