So what I gather is that the depth is fine as long as yall dont need to use that depth.

Haha you’re clearly an idiot if you think sliding over a safety to cb is a simple change.

At CB it's better than last year.

Trey Dean was a true freshman who started ten and played in eleven games last year after Wilson went down and could easily go back to CB this year if needed.

If Wilson and Henderson both go down, it wouldn't have changed if Steele, McWilliams or Huggins were still with the team. Huggins was a STAR player, McWilliams was just flat out bad and Steele was weak mentally as it were.

We have four safeties with significant playing time (they all rotated last season for one reason or another) and Burney who can play STAR if need be.

Depth at CB is actually fine, but some sites need clicks and so they're selling this "BAH GOD FRESHMEN ALL OVER THE FIELD" narrative that won't happen unless we have three injuries to CB -- and if any team has three injuries to CB in any part of the country it's very unlikely they're going to have three guys immediately ready to step in and give you the same results.

Didn’t y’all blame the entire UGa loss last year on the Henderson injury?

Ufs top threeeeeee db guys were out 2nd half uga

Still I think the offense was more to blame than the defense.

Defense just folded late.

Wilson and Henderson were both out of the game not to mention our best coverage safety.

No team can handle losing three of their best DBs at any given time and expect to have the exact same production outside of a few select schools.

That's why this concern is kind of just off-season fearmongering.

Shut up already. Annoying little twat. You're the moron that claimed we didn't have depth issues in the secondary. Really want to go there?

We have a guy like that every season, it's nothing different and we had a pretty good season last year.

First thing I look for on a college football team as a measure of success is the tenure of the OL and DL. Florida has a veteran group on both sides of the ball according to that link. While they might not be world beaters this year, I would expect them to be in every game and have a decent year based off that alone.

Whole bunch of -or- still in there for starters. Strangely enough, none on the OL which is the biggest question mark for UF coming into this year. Is Brad Stewart just in doghouse a bit or is Taylor a real threat to beat him out straight up?

LINK

Taylor not even in Top 10 returning defensive players for UF despite playing a lot last year, Stewart being the best.

The DL is going to wear people down. big, experienced, and good edge guys. Zuniga, Greenard, Shuler, and Campbell are all seniors. The immediate back ups are Slaton, Conliffe, Moon, and Ancrum, so that's 3 juniors and 1 senior, and two other guys that will play a lot are Zach Carter RS Soph and Marlon Dunlap, also a junior.

That's 10 guys that will play, and the youngest guy is a 3rd year sophomore.

If Miami can run against that I'll be surprised and impressed. I expect UF to harass them up front all day.
