You mean a team of mercenaries wilted at the first challenge they have had?

same thing that has happened several times by other mercenaries elsewhere?

I just don't get it!

They should get some more GT players. Buster Faulkner was scheming Missouri like they were NC State or somebody.

How do you go from destroying Ole Miss to getting run out of the stadium by Mizzou?

They've always been a thorn for the Gators

Florida also missing its best WR, and then having one of its starting safeties get hurt in pregame didn’t help.

Mizzou was missing two of their front four and still destroyed your offensive line.

Tackle Jadan Baugh that's how. 12 carries for 13 net yards yesterday. Florida team rushing, 25 carries for 42 yards. Prior to yesterday Mizzo was 31st in rushing defense. They'll move up considerably.

Wait, what? I was told Baugh was the best RB in the country? I don't understand..

Not really.

Ole Miss was playing in a hostile Swamp suffering from emotional letdown after the energy they put in the buildup vs LSU and the near comeback at the end.
They were without Lacy at RB to take the pressure off of Chambliss.
Ole Miss has a very poor defense and LSU failed to exploit it in the first half.

SBB left Sumrall a decent roster but it still has some holes in it.
Florida was full of themselves and had their own let down.
Mizzou played great and Austin was on fire. They wore the Gators down at the end.

Their are few miracle turnarounds and, great as Cignetti has been, he wouldn't have done that versus an SEC schedule his first year at IU.

Right now the most complete teams seem to be UGa and Bama. Texas' offense seems like it is missing something.
Every other team has some missing pieces and their six new head coaches this year.

Maybe Ole Miss is not as good as people think...

The Louisville win has quickly degraded. The Florida blowout looks worse. Is Ole Miss really the 9th best team in the country?

FL was not tested on the road. I mean they played auburn and everyone thought they were good because the beat an Ole miss team coming off a high that has a bad defense. Too be honest UF is really one dimensional at RB with an Avg Qb , Defense. Not a great formula on the road in the sec.

We'd kill for an average defense

I played at UF in the 80s and this looks like the worst DL and DBs in 40+ years. The DL gets little pressure on the QB and the DBs can’t cover. I’ve mentioned it every game. Ole Miss went up and down the field. So did Auburn. At first I thought it was a bend don’t break scheme but this defense is dog shite. If they don’t outscore the other team, they’re not winning.

I also thought Sumrall conceded on the very first drive kicking the field goal on the goal line. WTF? Even if you don’t score a TD, you pin them on their goal line. Total pussy move there.

^^^As soon as he did that shite, you could feel the team backed down. Both lines got totally dominated after that. Belief, desire, confidence is huge with 20+ year olds.

Mizzou stuffed the run. We are simple to defend till we get a better QB. Stack the box. Make us beat you through the air.

The QB wasn’t the problem. The OL and DL got ragdolled all day. The CBs can’t cover. Dumb penalties. Poor play calling. The QB wasn’t even top 7.

Several times Mizzou had more guys in the box than we can block. Don’t just run into those stacked boxes. How about going into a wide jumbo set with 2 tight ends if you want to run? How about quick slants? I saw just one.

It really didn’t matter. We got beat at the line of scrimmage. And the DBs looked like middle schoolers.

Florida couldn’t run the ball. Simple. Only teams with a good QB can beat Missouri. That leaves quite a few SEC teams out
