Tigerdroppings went from a south louisiana board to a southeastern board when Saban hired on at Alabama (tidesports was a popular bama board that soon after ceased to exist)
ATPB turned this place into a national website. Chicken owes Cam (and Blue Tuna tiger) a debt of gratitude

The SECRant, pre ATPB, drew me in
I was on Auburn Eagle or whatever and I kept hearing about this site and came to look. I enjoyed the irreverence and banter, and migrated over.
The first thread I saw was a recruit’s mom throwing down and I was hooked.
There were a lot of good posters who no longer post here. NBamaAlum was probably one of the best. Funny as hell, and there was an Arky poster that was really good. Several from each school were really good. It was so much more interesting.
The thread made this place a lot of money but it killed the vibe. The flaming and trolling was much more clever, subtle, and funny.

I want to be hated again, ATPB was a great fiction, from causing the banking crisis, etc.

It was like a bad movie but you had to keep watching to see what kind of insane stuff was going to happen

Facts. But the trolling wasn't the only thing going on, that's what made it clever, subtle, and funny.

Agreed, didn’t mean for it to come off that way. Much more interesting thread content.

This is the current state of the Gumps. The present and future seem bleak, so they dwell in the past as often as possible. SAD!
Many Bams have yet to realize the curse of Lil’ Nicky. The program has nowhere to go but down, down, down.
I almost feel sorry for them…

Mississippi State probably had more depth that year - they would definitely have been a contender.
But, unfortunately for State fans, $100,000 is not $180,000.

As The Plains Burn: Unveiling Corruption and Power Struggles at Auburn University
• The article, titled "As The Plains Burn," delves into alleged corruption and power dynamics surrounding Bobby Lowder and Auburn University, drawing parallels to Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
• It highlights Lowder's alleged manipulation of Auburn's football program, comparing his actions to Al Davis's recklessness with the Oakland Raiders, and the potential violations of NCAA bylaws regarding player payments.
• The piece discusses the ongoing investigations by federal, state, and NCAA authorities into pay-for-play schemes, mirroring tactics used in the past, but now utilizing modern methods like debit cards and hidden bank accounts.
• The article references the 'CamGate' scandal and the legal proceedings involving Jarrod Massey, and the parallel investigation, raising questions about potential bribery and fraud involving politicians.
• It scrutinizes the role of Tigers Unlimited Foundation (TUF) and its connections to Lowder, revealing how it allegedly provides a means to circumvent transparency laws and conceal financial transactions.
• The article examines the financial relationships between Auburn University, the lobbying firm Fine-Geddie, and other entities, suggesting potential conflicts of interest and questionable financial practices.
• The article also explores the use of Not-for-Profit organizations as vehicles for laundering money and circumventing regulations, particularly in the context of recruiting and providing benefits to athletes.

The admins on here fricking blew during that time. They allowed all kinds of rumors in the thread and banned Auburn fans for disagreeing what was posted.

He ended up getting fired for making up sources, believe it or not. I think he's a sports agent of some kind now.
