So, I'll be heading to Columbia with some friends of mine for the A&M game this year. Anyone have any suggestions of things to do while we're there?

Don’t go to 12:00 yell with young children unless you want to explain what the word frick means

Party in The Vista and Five Points.

Go to the Columbia Zoo.

Other than the ballgame, which will be an all-day affair, you'll probably not have the time to spare to do much else.

Oh, I expected tailgating and the game to be an all-day thing just like it is in College Station, but we're making a weekend out of it, so we were wondering about things to do the day before and the day after.

Only thing that sucks is the timing of the game. It’s right in the middle of the State Fair so there will be an extra 10-15,000 people around the stadium who won’t attend the game.

Lots of great bars and restaurants in The Vista, along Main Street in front of The Capital, and down in Five Points the night before the game.

Day after you'll be recovering.

I wouldn't go down around The Statehouse the night before the game if I were you ... there's been a LBGTBP group hanging around down there before our A&M ballgames every other year ... heard this year some good old boys might show up in their beat up old pick-up trucks flying Confederate flagd and bust some nuggets ... so avoid that. Would want you accidentally getting caught up in any of that stuff. You seem like a good guy.

The LBGTBP crowd shouldn't disrespect our hallowed grounds.

Find an audio loop of scratchy, drunk female voices yelling at you. Listen to it for 12 hours straight. Got to get the mind right for the onslaught. Sorority girls don’t hold back.

Five points is a blast. When I was on TDY at FT Jackson for school while in the Army I loved it.

Great town. Great people.

I got to hand it to USC and the city of Columbia, SC...

Y'all have one of the craziest bar/party atmospheres that I've ever seen. Making the SEC proud.

Was there also....and you are correct sir. They don't hold back. I knew I shouldn't have gone to the game with a gamecock season ticket holder.

I literally was harassed from kick off to I finally left mid-4th. Thank god I was drunk and there were some very cute USCe chicks by the porta potties outside the stadium who showed me some tits.

I don't remember much else as I had been drinking since 10 AM.

All in all solid 8/10 experience.

Chicks are hot
