Lincoln Riley runs the Air Raid, he's only included some power running because of Perine.
Just because they have power backs doesn't really mean they've implemented power running. It's still just basic air raid.

Exactly. He's installed some extra power run type stuff to his Air Raid offense, they aren't running the power spread.

OU is an air aid and has been for some time.

When I think of power spread Gus Malzhan is the first name to come to mind.
Obviously Florida under Meyer although they lacked the big bruising RB but Tebow added that dimension.
I really like what Clemson does and tOSU as well. I think those offenses would really suit the type of personnel LSU gets. But you have to commit to it and not half arse implement it.
The pistol does a great job a marrying power and spread as well.

WTF do you think Auburn runs?

LSU could plug a decent QB in and run a power spread style with great success.

What makes you think any one here cares?
Go to your daddy's board, shaggybevo, maybe they will care.

great question. I wonder too when an sec team will run an offense like Ohio state. I mean, it would be so interesting to see how it would work in this conference. like, can you imagine that? wow.

Petrino ran the power spread when he was here

He really hasn't though, its packaged plays and a single back offense. It's not power running at all. No lead blocker, and they don't pull the guard. Perine is a power back but they don't have power run plays. Trust me, after watching Sumlin try and mesh actual power run with the air raid this year, I can promise you they are contrasting styles that don't work well together.

Wtf are y'all talking about? OU didn't run a spread in 2013 when they smoked bama. OU Currently has ran 440 run plays to 334 pass attempts....the Oline for Oklahoma is bigger than any sec team besides Arkansas and in 2013 they averaged more than the largest NFL line pound for pound...

Your predisposition with the offense is your problem. You should be worrying about your defense. You can still win with a less than stellar offense but you can't win a Championship with a shitty defense.

Please handle your business, and make it to the playoffs. I'd love to see Bama vs Oklahoma in a meaningful game.

I've been to an Oklahoma game in Norman and it smells like a fairground fart.

what was the offense TAMU ran that dominated OU in 2011 that prevented y'all from going to a BCS game?

Isn't the "power" spread the offense Tennessee is running. I know that they're a run heavy, run first team. And what about Auburn?
Posted on 11/16/15 at 8:04 pm to 12thFairway
OU has a top 20 defense and allows 4.4 yards per play that's better than any sec team besides Alabama...and look at the offenses OU faces week to week. So I'm just fine with that defense combined with a top 3 offense. The point I'm trying to make is that an sec team should buy in to this style. It has nothing to do with OU vs sec
