Alabama vs. Temple at Legion Field

The first game I attended that I remember very well was the first SEC Championship game. My Dad got me tickets for my birthday. Still the best birthday present I've ever received.

Oh, and Legion Field was already a dump 23 years ago.

First game I attended was in 2009, Mizzou vs kansas at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO. Sat in box suite near the 50 yard line. Mizzou was trailing kansas 39-36 and had just punted the ball away with under 3 minutes left. Mizzou obviously hadn't been able to stop their offense so we left to beat the crowd assuming they'd get a few first downs and run out the clock. However, while walking to the car Mizzou sacked their QB for a safety to make it 39-38 still trailing. We listened on the radio as Mizzou drove the field and as time expired we kicked a field goal to win 41-39

My first game in Columbia was 2010 Mizzou vs San Diego State. #25 Mizzou was trailing at home 24-20 with 51 seconds to play in the game. I had already ripped up my ticket and left the stadium in a blind rage. While leaving the parking lot we had forced a punt from SDSU and had 51 seconds to drive 68 yards since a FG wouldn't work. I was almost back to the car when I heard the stadium erupt. Mizzou avoided the upset at home, and both teams would go on to win 10 games.

Either late 80s or early 90s

Ole miss vs air force in the liberty bowl, ole miss won 13-0

Or it may have been an Arkansas ole miss game in Jackson, 1 of the 2 was the first game, can't remember the score to this game but I know ole miss almost lost after leading arkansas all game but held on to win.

At the liberty bowl game I can remember asking my dad what the yellow poles (fg goal posts )were at each end of the field and asking why were they were there.

my dad has been taking me to games since i was old enough to walk so i don't remember my first LSU game. The first one i do remember I was about 4 or 5 and we were playing Ole Miss in Jackson. It was Halloween and I dressed up like a storm trooper and trick or treated at all the RVs.

2000 LSU vs Bama. The replay game. They were terrible but it was the first time we had beat them in Tiger Stadium since 1969.

1976 OM over Notre Dame. Thank goodness Montana was 2nd string to Lisch and didn't get to play until it was too late.

2000 SC vs Arkansas

Defeated Arkansas 27-7 I think. What a turn around season after 0-21. We went to the next home game against Tennessee that year and lost a heartbreaker to them courtesy of Travis Henry running the ball in their 7 or 8 minute drive in the 4th quarter.

I'm pretty sure it would have been an Iron Bowl at Legion Field in the early/mid-70's, but I would have not quite been 10 yet and don't remember the exact game. I grew up in the midwest, but my parents both went to Auburn (and I did as well eventually). For me to go to an Auburn game was like visiting an alien planet. The excitement of seeing Auburn play Bama in person was incredible.
