Nico was a RS Frosh last season and we still had to call the most basic offense. I’m not sure Nico can pick up a brand new offense that quickly when he struggled knowing ours with all the time he had.

I can't see Belichick wanting a kid that threatened to opt out of a playoff game, he seemed to shy away from that type of player in New England.

Not that I like defending Nico right now, but it seems like when hes actually in the building practicing he is a model citizen.
So if you can make the NIL shakedowns be a non-issue and help him get over whatever mental hurdles he had last year plus any he undoubtedly now has after becoming a villain, I think he would actually be ok with Bill because he is going to listen to whatever the coach says.
