State can give Leach a good defense, better than any he has had at Texas Tech and Washington State. Mississippi State has had decent to good defenses for many years (other than 2016) under different head coaches and many different defensive coordinators. State has been able to consistently get 4-star (and underrated 2- and 3-star) defensive recruits from MS/AL/LA/GA.
How good would Leach be with a good defense?
