I don’t recall bitching when Mizzou lost five starting OL and the starting QB in 2012. The games still had to be played.

On the one hit you are remembering, yes. It was not considered a penalty at that point in time as it would be now. However, there were a ton of really late hits on him after getting the ball out during that game that absolutely should have been flagged and weren’t.

The only two teams in the SEC that I know of that are known for cheap shots on players are Alabama and Aub. We should call their matchup The Thug Bowl instead of the Iron Bowl

this post is why LSU will never be blueblood. Its always somebody else's fault. We were screwed. We would have won 100 straight national titles if not for the refs.
Well, the fact is, no you wouldn't. You were a middling program for a hundred years, you still middle about half the time now. You lose to the likes of Ole Miss, A&M and arkie way more than you should.
You make up excuses to make yourself feel better, to try to cope when the fact is, you are what you have always been. A ...pretty good...program but not amoung the elite nationally. You don't even have a rival during the greatest week of the year in rivalry week. This week, nobody in America cares about what LSU football is doing. You literally are a non factor. So many great in state true rivals and here you are, watching from the outside.

The thought process of a fringe portion of our fan base has nothing to do with the thought process inside the football program. Alabama fans complained about officiating after the Tennessee game last year. Fans complain about officiating when they lose. It isn't unique to LSU.
