Well let's look at it. Au will never beat bama with Tua at qb, so that is 2 years. Gus will be fired soon which means Au will be limbo recruiting, and it is not like he has been tearing up the recruiting trail lately. Who would want play for him? Would you? AU will have to find a coach willing to coach in the same state as Saban in full blown dynasty mode, nobody worth a shite will take that job. Face it AU will not have the athletes to compete with Bama for several years. You can deny it all you want, but deep down inside, you know it is the truth. So enjoy your bragging rights this week and enjoy your good basketball team, but expect some long football seasons in the years to come.

This is consistently the dumbest take on the Auburn coaching position

It completely ignores the narcissism of high level coaches

Would say Aub always has a shot at Ala, but I don’t want to disturb this peace treaty.

Heard this in 1981, 1992, 1999, 2008, and again in 2012. Wrong then, wrong now.

Every HC that AU has hired in the last 38 seasons has beaten Bama in their first or second Iron Bowl. Every. Single. One.

I see no reason why our next HC will be any different.

I can tell you’re one of “those” bama fans. Guaranteed that you have a bama tattoo somewhere on your body and a portrait of the bear on your walls at home. There’s no reasoning with your kind because you can’t see past the crimson colored glasses you’re sporting.

When will you morons learn that NO ONE gives two cents about LSU until game week???!!!

How can you be so dumb that you can’t figure this out by now? We DONT CARE about L8U!!!

Alabama and Auburn is a true rivalry. So is AL/TN and AU/GA - I’m enjoying the ribbing from the AU fans today at work. It is awesome - but it is what it is - good natured ribbing most of the time. We have to live with these folks - they are our coworkers, our clients, and our friends.

Again, NO ONE gives a rat’s arse here what you think. Stop kidding yourself that we do.

Well you still have a losing record vs Saban and which amazes me how you guys brag about that. You guys don't even have a good running back, and if you did oline can't block for him. Defensive front 7 is pretty good but can AU sustain it? Db's are average at best. AU is heading in the wrong direction and will take at least two good recruiting classes to fix it, assuming AU can afford to fire Gus, who nobody worth a shite wants to play for right now. Then they have to find a discount coach to go up against Saban. Auburn is really screwed for years this time. Just because you don't want to believe it doesn't make it any less true.

Auburn people understand our game. They know that there will be years where they aren't great or underachieve and that most years Alabama is probably going to win. They also know every 3rd or 4th year Auburn will put together a great season and in those years they know that they always put it together against us and usually win (as it almost always seems to coincide with the game being in Auburn).

In the years that doesn't happen, they generally aren't just blindly loud and obnoxious, because they understand football.

LSU fans on the other hand are just drunk all the time and can't control their feminine emotions.

LSU will finish in the top 6 in ranking and recruiting or better, it’s not like we’re Aub and about to fire a coach.

Everyone has a losing record against Saban, except ULM and perhaps utah state.

Auburn has one of the best, if not the best, record vs Saban during these dynasty years.

Bottom line is unless Auburn is historically bad (2012), Alabama's a-hole is puckered whenever we play. And this impacts how Alabama plays.

I know, you should give him an extension. He's achieved everything you could hope for.

Meh, I wouldn't go that far. Auburn always brings it against Alabama, and when you are good and the game is at Jordan Hare you have gotten us.

Outside of those 2 games in 2013 and 2017, you almost always lose. The only exception is 2010, which was the best Auburn team in 50 years and the worst Alabama team of the last decade. And you won by 1.

Every 3-4 years Auburn has a great team, plays us at home and wins. Every other year we win, usually by 2+ scores. That's just how it goes.

It should probably embarrass LSU fans even more than they acted worse than our actual rival.

Well, the last 7 games Alabama is 5-2, soon to be 6-2 against Auburn...

Then why are you replying to this thread, Bama fans are always so full of shite. It’s why it smells so bad in the lower state of Ala, Aub fans will always be a Aub fans, with good reason.

I might be reading this wrong, but you act like y’all are just blowing us out in this rivalry. Y’all have arguably the two best coaches in college history and only lead this series by 9 games.
