No, the REAL silver bullet is how fricking sick virtually everyone but (some) LSU fans are of discussing this shite on the SEC Rant by now.
This thread has consisted of double-digit pages of fans from all walks of life flaming the shite out of the OP.

Well you can look at it either way. It's either finish the home and home. Or play the team coming onto rotation. It's not like they just mysteriously picked a team they finished the home and home.

Seems to me that until Dale -- or any fan, for that matter -- suits up, goes out on the field and personally "looses" a ballgame, they can have whatever the frick opinion they want.

If the SEC would just go to 9 games then the problem is solved.

There is ONE SEC coach who's publically calling for a nine SEC game schedule. Wanna guess who that is?

The wanted to get LSU out of the way of SEC success. They are the only team to lose in the 7year stretch.

Where did McManus go? The dude took a giant deuce in our toilet, did not flush, and walked right out of the house.

Hopefully the same place his thread should be going:

UGA can only look at it one way. Having Bama go to Mizzou is what allowed you to come within 4 yards of winning a National Championship. You guys would have destroyed Notre Dame.
The bridge was pretty good to you.

For the '12 bridge schedule, they just kept the same cross-division rotation that had been used previously. Therefore, each team added the cross-division opponent that it last played in the '08 season with 4 exceptions: 1. Bama played Mizzou instead of UGA 2. UF played A&M instead of Ole Miss 3. UGA played Ole Miss instead of Bama 4. Ole Miss played UGA instead of UF So, two teams (Bama and UF) were picked to play the new additions (Mizzou and A&M) and the two teams they were supposed to play (UGA and Ole Miss) played each other. The exact same methodology is apparent in the '13 schedule. Each team added the cross-division opponent that it last played in the '09 season with 4 exceptions: 1. Ole Miss plays Mizzou instead of USC 2. Vandy plays A&M instead of State 3. USC plays State instead of Ole Miss 4. State plays USC instead of Vandy So, two teams (Ole Miss and Vandy) were picked to play the new additions (Mizzou and A&M) and the two teams they were supposed to play (USC and State) played each other Conclusion A consistent methodology was used to create the bridge schedule based on the previous cross-division rotation.
'12 was supposed to be '07
'13 was supposed to be '08
You are off by a year.
On my phone but will expand later

Surely you jest. Odd number of games means odd number of home games and there is still the rotation that some cant seem to grasp. Even with two rotating, there will be unbalanced years to use as an example to extrapolate out and skew a group think thesis similar to the op.

The mistake you're making is you're asserting that the '12 schedule should have repeated the '08 schedule, which is not the case. The '12 schedule should have repeated the '07 schedule:
Alabama
2007 - at Vanderbilt, Georgia
2008 - at Georgia, Kentucky
2009 - at Kentucky, South Carolina
2010 - at South Carolina, Florida
2011 - at Florida, Vanderbilt
if there had been no expansion:
2012 - at Vanderbilt, Georgia
2013 - at Georgia, Kentucky
But, since we did have expansion, they chose Mizzou to replace Vandy in '12. No problem. The next team to cycle on in '13 should have been Georgia. This is pretty clear and straightforward from the info above. But, Georgia was infamously skipped in favor of Kentucky. That was is why LSU people are upset.

UK was supposed to rotate back onto our schedule this year. That's what happened.

I find it funny how Bama fans can say things like, just play who's in front of you. Or stop bitching about scheduling WHEN Every Bama fan can admit that playing a bunch of teams that have buy weeks prior to playing Bama kicked their arse that year. It didn't matter who the 6 teams were, how strong/weak those teams were, Bama could not win against all those teams because they had a buy.
Bama fans can admit that the schedule had an affect on that season BUT can't admit that the last few years the schedule has been in their favor in every way possible???
You only bitch when you can bitch. Which is every time something isn't in your favor which is not very often because of those crooks in B'ham.

Schedule conspiracy threads are so damn stupid. A lot of these theories depend on the SEC Office knowing which teams are going to be good.
