Why are some Arkansas' fans so worked up over this?
Arky vs Mizzou and TexA&M vs LSU on "rivalry weekend"
seems like a fit to me
It's not like LSU and Arkansas are going to quit playing...I just think it's a better pairing for that particular "rivalry weekend." The Arky-LSU rivalry has grown over the years, but IMO TexA&M-LSU is a much bigger rivalry that has been a rivalry for much longer.
IMO, those two matchups on that particular weekend seems to be a great "fit" for all four schools.

Good Point...We have a long illustrious rivalry with Mizzou that covers a whopping 5 games...

Most of us aren't worked up - I mean, it sucks if it changes - but that's the way life goes sometimes. It's certainly not worth throwing a hissy fit, but this is a message board, and everything takes on a whole new spin on the internet
If LSU wants aTm on rivalry weekend, that's their lifestyle choice (not that there is anything wrong with it). Personally, the more I think about it - I'd assume play Mizzou that weekend. Nothing personal, it just makes sense.

Quite frankly, I view LSU as an Elite program where most slightly above average could succeed.
Why the frick would we not want to play one of the best teams in the last decade beating them regularly recently?

Not going to search or read through 14 pages, so, SIAP, but, Hog fans cry about how the rest of the SEC treats them like an outsider or stepchild...

If threatening to change conferences is the only leverage yall have to settle a scheduling dispute, then maybe your school isn't as high and mighty as you say it is. This is the stupidest shite I have heard in a while. Why the frick does it even matter if you play that game as the last game or as the next to last?

Exactly. Some of you hog fans have such an inflated view of your program.
And if something as minor as moving a game you've played for a whopping 20 years (none of you were even alive for the games that happened 35 years before you joined the SEC, so don't whine about that) to a slightly different date in the season is grounds for leaving the conference, then you are some whiny arse bitches.

I can't speak for all of the Mizzou or Aggie fans, but I've got to say that I'm poopslapped that you would threaten leaving over a weekly slot of a game you have to play anyway.
You've been gone too long from what remains of the SWC if you think that is a legit point of leverage.
The very airing of this line of thought makes you that much more of someone who doesn't get the SEC. I remind you that you don't need to pay any fees to, and once you join the Big XII you can step right up for that prorated share of money over the next 4 years while being on the hook for the loss of all tv rights for the next six should you get your knee scraped and you go crying to another home.

Holding on to 3-2, how cute. How convienent you post the record right after we won 3 out of 4 against you guys. Are ya'll gonna start claiming 3-3 after next year, or will that be the end of ya'll stating records?

i can only speak for myself, but its great having something big to look forward to, on a great time slot that gets tons of national exposure.
on seasons that arent so great, its means alot to look forward to knocking off lsu who is usually ranked pretty high.
2007 is the perfect example where the season was overall very disappointing, but beating lsu seemed to make it less painful. i dont see beating mizzou sugar coating anything. in time it will, but right now i still want the battle for the boot.
