The SEC expanded 20 years ago because they needed 12 teams to hold a championship game. Conference expansion is being driven by television dollars and markets. aTm and Mizzou were added to the SEC because of the television markets they bring to the table. Larger markets = more viewers which means more tv dollars for the league.
Arky does not have the television market leverage that makes them attractive to other conferences the way aTm and Mizzou were. Therefore it would be stupid of Jeff Long to threaten to leave the SEC over when the LSU game is played. He lacks the television market leverage that would make them attractive to the Big 12.

One other thing. Arky's tv ratings aren't great because people are tuning in just to see Arky football. They are great because they have been a solid top 10 team and been fortunate enough to have great match ups with some incredible Alabama LSU and AU teams and other solid SEC teams the past few years.

We're not going anywhere point blank period. Sunhog's gonna Sunhog. What he sees as being leverage is a result from being in the conference and being competitive and striving to be excellent.
Jeff Long is a really good AD and he understands the dynamics of the business. He might be a Yankee but they don't like Texas much either. We'd never put up with those sheisty bastards ever again.
