To be honest, I think your coach is good and things will get on track soon. Seems like it is more on players effort - that the coach should get on top of soon. Got to be tough to follow Saban and his way of doing things.

But is sure is fun watching the meltdown.

We are going 6-6. Everyone here has guaranteed it at this point.

Bama has changed. They're not as well coached, or disciplined as they were under Saban. But they've still got the talent to win every game ahead of them. Much as I like to clown them for the decline, they're not gonna go like 5-7. They could still end up 9-3, 8-4 though
So, I think they have the talent to go undefeated. That isn't the issue.

It's the whole "Bama" thing. There are demands and expectations, coming from all the wealthy boosters, who forgot what it felt like to scrap and fight for what you can get. And my best guess is, we've now entered the "THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!" zone with that group, as well as the fanbase in general.

I saw some Tide posters saying the team just didn't expect Fla State to be good, they didn't take the game seriously, so that's why it happened. They'd have played better against a ranked opponent. If that's the case, the program is already gone... the "process" was to play as good as you can, to better yourself each time, regardless of the opponent. That's not something you can just flip on and off.

That program is just not geared to handle adversity and ride the tough times out, not right now. It's going to be ugly and messy. I think we all understood that, except maybe the actual Alabama fans.

Nah the truth is DeBoer had an elite qb who saved him. Go back and look at Washington's scores and come back. They won a bunch of games by 3 or 4 points

A grownup should be mature enough not to have a multi day emotional breakdown over a football game you watched.

Swap the QBs and get rid of the distractions. Bama can still be 8-4/9-3 type team.

I frankly had some concerns with the playoff run Washington had.

They had a great year, and I was pulling for them. I was happy they beat Oregon, which was really the only games I'd watched of them. I do remember Oregon fricking up some, gave up some points being rocky.

That Texas game... it made me cringe. Washington had it won easily in the second half, and all they needed to do was run the clock out. Instead they did everything they could to blow it, and came one Quinn Ewers pass away from that happening. And no, it wasn't a Texas rally, not at first.
Texas had given up, and was ready to go home. But he tried to run the score up and embarrass them, and it backfired.
And then they still had a chance to run it out, and wouldn't.

When I saw Bama hire him I knew that wasn't going to work. Dude wasn't ready for the big time, and it doesn't get any bigger than Bama.

Yah, I'm not buying they will go 8-4 or whatever. But hey, yall lost to FSU so we're gonna make fun of you. Don't lose to ULM though.

Things are never as good as they appear nor never as bad as they appear.

Is 9-3 doomsday? If it is then just wait until that win total gets halved from there. In a true decline hope will fall until a resting point just to find a brand new catastrophe is ready to emerge. In other words tank bitch.

They'll be competitive, but he's not a good coach. Unfortunately he's here for awhile.

It was kind of a perfect storm.

Gus

Perfect quarterback for his system

Your quarterback's first start and a new OC

Road game

Injuries to some Bama starters

I think Bama probably overlooked FSU a bit and will be better going forward. I see something like 8-4 for this season.

They looked like arse against FSU... Just like they looked the second half of last season. It's a major red flag.

What the hell do you expect, especially here?
Premature? Sure.
Deserving? Hell yeah.

I don’t care if FSU is actually a top 5 team. The concern is not that we lost or who we lost to. It is that the players have poor fundamentals, low effort, and the continuous downward trajectory.
