No way the NCAA approves that

D2 and D3 about to be stacked. The low 3 and high 2 Star high school players aren’t going to have places to play.

The Power 5 should have told the NCAA to kick rocks a long time ago. They do not need the NCAA and they definitely do not need the NCAA telling them what to do.

They just say yes to anything a player might want without any thought into the consequences of the actions these days.

They need to exempt postseason play from the current 4 games limit.
It allows teams to compete in bowls after the players headed to the NFL make a "business decision".
Teams in the playoff that would play them would only be because of injury etc. put them in a bad situation and they need them. It would help keep from having to burn a year because of a critical injury.
It would be a reward for the players that work hard all year to develop and give them some crucial snaps and allow coaches to better evaluate progress.

bowl games have already been exempted from the 4 game count. Not sure if that includes playoff games
That said, this 9 game proposal is insane. So a player misses three games with a sprained ankle, the entire season doesn't count against his eligibility. Absurd. Just do away with a clock completely at this point and let guys play college football forever.

This is completely stupid...
Just go to five years of eligibility...
If they do this... each team will have to assign an athletics staff member just to keep track of who has played in how many games.

So you think the NCAA is interested in fighting this? They are feckless and useless.

Why not just vote for five years of eligibility if they are going to do that...
