I’ll take the team that’s won it the last 2 years. Followed by Texas. Then followed by LSU.

Maybe but LSU's got to be the favorite. I mean Georgia hasn't really lost anybody much but with the talent that Lane is bringing in, it's completely eclipsing Georgia and Texas (easily).

I think Georgia will do pretty well but LSU is the clear frontrunner now.

At what position are they eclipsing the talent on either Georgia or Texas?

Georgia is the favorite in my view. Then Texas. Then a group of Ole Miss, Oklahoma, LSU, Texas A&M and Alabama.

These 3 honestly don't belong.

Just about all of them. We can look at their top 3 recruits (Leavitt, Seaton and Prince)

Prince finished behind Collin Simmons in sacks.

Seaton is a projected first rounder in 2027, so is Goosby.

Leavitts good. Downside being he’s coming off an injury and won’t participate in spring ball. He won’t have Jordon Tyson. He doesn’t have Cam Skattebo. Just because you’re ranked highly in the transfer portal it doesn’t equate to success. The 2nd highest ranked QB in the portal last year was Nico.

Thats not even getting into WR (Texas wins in a landslide), RB (landslide), secondary, and o and D line. The only area I might say LSU could have an edge is linebacker, and that’s only on Texas. Georgia beats them in a landslide at backer.

So what you’re saying is anything short of a national title appearance would be a wasted season, right?

Yes. I think that’s pretty obvious with the amount of money invested in the roster.

Huh oh, Tennessee. Looks like y’all are going to have some seriously heavy competition for the OFF season championship.
LSU is acting just like they did when they hired their last great savior. The incredible Old Grinder Kelly.
Gonna be fun to watch. I’ll go with UTk for the championship, though. After all they have had years of building themselves up until the real season begins. Experience matters

Neither does OM. They have never even got to the championship game. Ever. A full year with Pete and no Charlie will lead to a 8-4 or 9-3 season

For the record I think TX is probably the team to beat, but LSU is three deep at QB running a system that can make life easy at that position if needed.

For evidence look no further than Chambliss’ rapid takeover this year… I wouldn’t overlook the potential of a Longstreet / Kiffin combo.

I give a preseason edge to TX because of continuity at QB + offensive staff + Arch was on fire at year’s end. But I’m also gonna add the caveat that I think folks may really be sleeping on our defense.
