I've been pretty understanding of Bama's position but it is fairly galling that the family says that no one from the university has reached out to them. How is that still true? You'd think they would at least refute that. If they have, I missed it.

Oh if you are gonna play a gun runner and another player that was at the scene with no discipline for either then yeah I’m gonna call BS. Let’s be clear I’m not melting. Two men are still going to trial for murder. If the Unviversity makes a statement supporting the defendents or reaches out to them.in support that could affect potential jurors and effect the outcome of the trial.
But y'all are too dumb to understand things like that.
Go watch the Aaron Hernadez doc and see what Tim Tebow and Brady had to say when reporters were asking them questions.

They can't take away their guns but if they can bring in people to talk to them about sexual assault and rape culture then can sure as shite make a plea to student-athletes about gun culture.
And coaches are free to put whatever rules they want in place for curfews, whatever.
I'm not singling out Bama here and I don't think Goodman is either when it comes to that point. It's a problem every school has and I said weeks ago it's amazing these kind of tragic incidents don't happen more often because that's the culture they swim in.
