There's a certain irony in a guy writing multiple articles a week about a situation, fanning the flames for clicks, keeping it alive with everything in him, then going and interviewing the family and writing an article highlighting and bemoaning the family's inability to get away from said situation.

I mean...watching the murdaugh series, it honestly wouldnt shock me.
Lets throw away any fandom, or like/dislike of the kid, would it really shock you if the police protected a southern schools athletes, either because they were fans, or because a prominent booster. Certainly not saying that is the case (it is in Clemson) but it just wouldnt shock me
