There is no way Kiffin should be allowed to coach Ole Miss while accepting the LSU job.

Edit - different scenario for Tulane being in a G5 conference.

Ole Miss and LSU are on the each other’s schedule every year.

No, OM made their choice and now LK is doing what's best for LSU by filling out his staff.

No bad guys, just don't complain about heading into the playoff with no coaches when you had the option to be coached.

Didn’t say it’s the same scenario.

It’s still a choice.

Ole Miss could have made the choice to allow Kiffin to coach through the playoffs. They didn’t.

Most LSU fans know this. It’s just doesn’t bother us. We will just go get another coach.

College football is about 1 season at a time.

You've been one of the biggest shite talkers towards LSU this year.

Kiffin doing this makes it even sweeter.

Okay that’s fine.

Disappointing, but I understand.

And you don’t see how this is different? Y’all and LK deserve each other.

How logistically could he coach Ole Miss while putting together his staff, structure, players and all other personnel?

I believe he genuinely wants this team to succeed in the playoffs, but even if we ignore the optics of LSUs coach coaching ole miss, he and his staff will not be fully focused. Neither option is good, so may as well rip the bandaid.

Again… I see the differences. But…. That doesn’t change the choice Ole Miss made. They could have allowed Kiffin to coach throughout the playoffs. They didn’t. Quit your whining.

I have no problem with deserving Kiffin. College football is nothing but a whore sport now. For all of us.

I get it from Ole Miss perspective. Kiffin left Knoxville at Midnight for USC job in 2009, was working on his staff for the FAU Job while OC for Saban before 2016 Championship game with Clemson and now this with Ole Miss.

Lane was at Ole Miss for 6 years, he will likely be here 6 to 10 years, hopefully with a NC, and then who knows, maybe he will go try to win a Superbowl and interview with NFL teams while LSU is in the CFP.

I think everyone understands that. Lots of LSU fans wasted lots energy when Saban wound up at Bama. I have long gotten over all that and realize that for coaches, unless you are like Kirby at UGA (GA native and UGA alum), it is 100% football and Business $$$$. Nothing more and nothing less.

We fans are the ones with emotional ties to our schools, LSU fans LSU, Ole Miss Fans Ole Miss, Bama fans Bama, TENN fans TENN, UGA fans UGA, etc.

And with players, it is more and more the case as well. Look at it objectively, in 2024 Lane signed 25 players from the Portal and used NIL to get them to play for him at Ole Miss, in 2025, he signed 24. That is 49 players in the portal that were signed out of HS by other coaches and other schools, and he won games with those guys at Ole Miss. There are lots of fans of other schools saying man those guys at Ole Miss our school signed out of HS and now they are playing for Kiffin at Ole Miss.

For that reason, I think it is 100% imperative that if Lane is here, he signs 15 to 18 kids that are from Louisiana and played HS ball here as there are still lots of those kids that will run through the wall to play for LSU. U can then use the portal to supplement your LSU roster [which is exactly what Saban was saying on Game day yesterday, and I 100% agree]
