An Aggie fan tells his parents he is going to the midnight yell, and heads off.
He hears the news that A$M has paid the most money ever spent for a coach to leave.
He knows Aggie will need money and he wants to do his part, so he tries to think about how to raise money.
Inspired by the Midnight Yell, he knows what he has to do, and heads off.
His parents wait up for him, thinking their son will return after. They wait and wait. 3 am, 4 am, 5 am.
They are worried sick. They are calling his phone, and it goes straight to voicemail. The call the hospitals, call the jail...no one has seen him. They are at their wits end and about to go searching when he walks in the door at 11 am.
"Where on earth have you been!" They ask. "We were worried sick! You don't call, you don't answer your phone! Your poor mother almost had a heart attack!"
The Aggie fan says "well, I sold my phone, that's why I didn't answer."
The father balks, "Well why did you do that!?"
The Aggie fan places a big stack of Money and 2 quarters on the table and says "to raise money for the new Coach! I got one Thousand, three hundred and fifty dollars and fifty cents!"
The mother gasps and says "all that for an old phone!?"
The Aggie says "nah, they only gave me three fifty for the phone."
The father then asks, "well then where did you get the rest of the money?"
The Aggie replied, proud of himself, "well, after Midnight Yell, I hung around the stadium and sold blowjobs! That's how I raised so much money!"
The father, aghast, said "well who the hell gave you the fifty cents!?"
His Aggie son burped, wiped his mouth with his sleeve and said...
"ALL OF THEM."

I’m talking about the midnight yell thing, the cadets in uniforms, and whatever that “kissing your date when the team scores” ritual is. And don’t get me started on the cult-like hand signs and “yell leaders” who look like they just finished basic training for cheer camp.
This is ALL your fault Aggie. You had to be a hot-shot and show Texas what for. Now Texas is over here while you bask in the shadow.
Dumbasses. We understood you in the homeland. We never wrote dumb posts like OP's. Aggie or not, we all knew all there was to know about Aggie, and we understood where it all comes from. And honestly, we didn't think it was that far-fetched - it was just uniquely Aggie.
But now here we are. You're lost in an ocean of confused sidewalk fans. They don't get you, and they don't want to.
That's what happens when you run off into the world without Daddy.

I think it's great that everyone has their traditions and that includes the Ags. The fact that they are weirder than everyone is a bonus point for them. Makes them very unique and that is good.
But to me, the thing that makes them stand apart the most is that I am very glad I'm not an A&M fan because of the weirdness. I don't ever think "I'm glad I'm not a Georgia fan, or I'm glad I'm not an Alabama or LSU fan".
I'm just not and I happen to be a Texas fan.
But all of that in your face uniqueness constantly reminds you that you are glad they are them and you aren't.
Very self selecting and to A&M and their way of thinking, that's a great thing, I am sure.

Sheeiiitttt. You think A&M’s popularity is being damaged?
I just hope A&M doesn’t fall into relative obscurity and difficulty in attracting new students.
A&M has grown substantially since leaving the B12, but I guess you have your opinions.

They have a bunch of weird traditions, it's unique in the same way that trannies are "unique".
They've never really won much so they now cling to being an "older university" or "larger" or whatever.
They claim to be morally superior to the rest of the conference but don't be fooled, they have their share of trashbags like anyone else, especially if they're winning.

A&M tried to ban drag shows on campus.

The resolution passed on Friday says the board recognizes the need for universities to foster a sense of community and belonging among students but adds that drag shows are “inconsistent with [the system’s] mission and core values, including the value of respect for others.”
A left leaning federal judge forced A&M to honor the contract. It will not be back next year
Sorry to make you look stupid, again.
Drag shows happen almost every evening in Austin.
This particular event also happens to be in the same building as "Big Boy". The dildo on display at the Student Activites Center to commemorate the Great Dildo Parade
Austin actually has more gay bars than straight bars. Austin is one of the most LGBTQ friendly cities in the nation.
There is not even a gay bar in College Station

It was an all male school till like the late 60s. That is where all their traditions started. Since allowing girls, their football record against Texas has been pretty even.

Aggy also has traditions where the "guys" dress up in short shorts and show their midriff areas.
This is the 12th "man" and gameday life.
Rumor is starting this year they will shave their legs.

Even record since the 60s maybe but aggy has not sniffed the chance to win a natty.
Since the 60s Texas has 4 national championships.

Wondered if the aggys missed the ole JIZZ JAR or if the tradition continued after the fall of logs.

I find their gay-est tradition to be blowing bubbles at baseball games.
