I don't even know what that means but I suppose they might mean it's not media friendly. Media has to haul shite around. But really I got nothing that was a weird statement by the writer.

Not with private charter. It is the only way to travel to Fayetteville.

Anyplace without a direct flight is a pain in the backside (especially if you must switch in ATL) and what should be a hour or 2 direct becomes an all day travel day. It is best when a school is an easy car trip.

Don't know why yall reject this so much. Most of the conference views it as a PITA to get to. Sure, we can fly, but that doesn't make it convenient for a trip that is within your region.

My points were that for all of the things you mentioned for Starkville, their Oxford counterpoints are far and away better.

Do you understand?

Good. I hate made up towns that try to be like metro suburbs (looking at you Auburn). I'll take an actual city that has been around with character (good and bad) over that anyday of the week.

F-ville is difficult to get to in relation to other schools in the SEC for most of us.

If an Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee fan wants to go to a road game in Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, USCe, Vandy, Georgia, etc we hop in our car and we drive 3-7 hours.

Fayeteville is a 10-15 hour drive for most of us. Most of us aren't renting private jets to go to road games. Maybe that makes us poors.

Don't worry, we will have another facilities thread with that micro IPF picture soon enough.

By the time that comes back around, UGA will have announced its actual IPF plans and they'll make everyone elses IPF look like dog shite in comparison

Oxford's bars are better (especially considering they have more than the one atmosphere available in Starkville - trash), the people are better looking, the music sounds better, the beer is colder, the whiskey gets you hornier, the people telling jokes are funnier, conversation is more interesting, and the Square itself is far prettier and more aesthetically pleasing than anything in Oktibbeha county.

Damn I didn't realize it was that big of a drive. That is definitely a pretty good haul.

We can ignore the fact that you listed the most horrible casino in the state, which is over an hour away, as one of your positives.

Let's move on to the next point.

You listed "has bars" as a positive. How splendid. Nothing more to expand upon that?

Tuskegee is changing the landscape of Auburn's attempt to be a suburb.......When Tuskegee students choose to rent/live in Auburn and commute to their classes the dynamic of the culture tends to change with the demographic.

Also, while the whole professional southerner thing and the faux intellectualism that Oxford people seem to promote can be irritating and laughable, the overall vibe and scene is Oxford is fun and cool. Not quite Athens level, but still great.

Starkville is just a little ole country college town. Nothing wrong with it. Appeals to different folks.
