Everyone who's followed Brian Kelly over the years knows...

He's not a great coach. Not at all.
If LSU for instance was actually undergoing this "complete rebuild" they've lied to themselves about, then the A&M loss would be forgivable. The fact of the matter though, is this fanbase crowed throughout the entire off season about how they had the 8th ranked roster in the country and how a coach of Kelly's "stature" would maximize it.
But right after the FSU loss, everything shifted back to Coach Whiteboots and there it stayed for the entire season. They put the onus for Kelly's unclutch failures on that white trash coonass and this fake, "depleted roster" bullshite.
Well Brian Kelly takes the 8th ranked roster in the country, defaults into a division title, has a legit shot to make the playoff and then at the end, chugs Aggy cock so completely, that he takes aaaaaall that sausage gravy, every last globulous drop. We can criticize the guy for a lot of things but spitting isn't one of them.
Anyway, this is the head football coach for the LSU Fighting Tigers.
Same as ever 9 and 3 bullshite in Baton Rouge and now that the season is over, the purple and yellow are coming to terms with why Kelly was dead last on Scott Woodward's list.

There is a lack of defensive adjustments for LSU right now.
But many times, that is due to personnel constraints. I don't know the LSU program enough to pinpoint what is coaching and what is personnel.
But it is year 1. Kirbys defense struggled year 1. Sabans defense struggled year 1.
I wouldn't be so quick to bury Kelly.
There are some flags from Notre Dame. But odds are, those won't carry over to LSU.
The fun is in seeing how it unfolds (Saban and Kirby turned out just fine)

They only way you think LSU had a legit shot to make the playoffs is if you think LSU had a legit shot to beat UGA. They didn't. The A&M game, in the grand scheme of things, was meaningless.

We appreciate your concern, and I understand why you, as an Alabama fan, are worried.
But he'll get at least 3 years to rebuild the program and then we'll see what happens.

There's actually a lack of mental preparation. Kelly was legit playing for a playoff spot and had cogs of shite running down his legs against A&M. The worst team in the division.
Comparing Kelly to Saban and even Kirby is sad. Don't let LSU in your head on this. It's another lie they keep living.
They like comparing Saban's first year at Bama with Kelly's first year and LSU. They're not even remotely the same and comparisons to Kirby are just as desperate. He was a first year head coach.

Good thing it doesn’t matter who the head coach is at LSU (three consecutive coaches won championships). We’ll be fine.

He is comparing the process of building a program. Not the results. But you are a smart guy, you know that.
Next year will be much of the same. Inconsistency. You cannot bring in this many new players (via portal or new recruits) and have the same team show up for every game. Year 3 is when I will begin to judge Kelly and where the team is at that point.

It's hilarious how after all of the talk that Kelly would be lucky to win 6 games this year, they're now desperately trying to paint going 9-3 in year 1 as "something bad."
