OSU realized that in the NIL era, cfb is now a pro league with no salary cap.
They decided to go out and buy a national championship, and it's working out for them.
People are calling this maybe the greatest cfb team ever. PSHH you ain't seen nothin yet. In the near future you'll see some college teams that are better than bottom-tier NFL teams.
How? Well with $$$$$$. You could theoretically field a team where every starter is a 1st or 2nd round draft pick.
You're already seeing it take shape. There's an arms race right now for linemen especially. You spend enough money on the trenches and you're gonna have a real good shot.
That's been the biggest advantage for OSU and Notre Dame. They've got NFL linemen across the board on both sides of the ball.

The regular season should've mattered.
Oregon is the AP champ. So infuriated we allow "do-overs". Thanks ESPN-Bama.

I would never take sports advice from those idiots.
Greatest team of all time certain requirements.
1. not suck during the regular season
2. Make your conference championship
3. Win your conference championship
4. Don't Lose 2 games in the regular season. One to a .500 bad Michigan team.

If you have proof this, please present it. Otherwise, you're just whining.

This is not new information. "Games are won in the trenches."
Your post has added nothing to the discussion of football.

This is the worst take of 2025. The only one being laughed at is you.
Before this thread, after this thread and for the remainder of your life, you will be a laughing stock and get no pussy.
GOAT teams don’t have losses on their resume and Ohio State was lucky to get out of that game with a “W”.

I’m still laughing at that last goal line series against Michigan where Milroe was asked to throw four consecutive forward passes.

Alabama laughed at OSU in their 2020 b*st season evar.
But then claimed it was a legit year.
Funny how opinions change about programs just like that.

Ohio State would beat LSU by fifty.

Oh bullshite. We had ASU, Boise, and SMU in the playoff. And Penn State got to play 2/3 of those teams then got stomped by the first real team they played. This playoff is too big and the conferences too uneven.
This is a horrible way to determine who the overall best team was all season. Much closer to march madness and who is hot at the right time and who got a favorable draw for the season.
What it is is “entertaining” but it is not a good system for determining a champion over the course of the whole season. College football used to have a playoff for 12 straight week and it was incredible. Now you just have to schedule easy and not frick up. If you get a good draw then boom you can make at least a semi like Penn state.
