More schools will do shite like this with watching at home becoming more and more appealing. It just makes sense to fill out those nosebleeds

Was in Costco yesterday. 86” 4k TV…$1,489. When my FIL put in his Sony 80” 5 years ago, it was $20k.

They’re going to have to do this to fill seats. I actually think it’s pretty smart.

More proof that greedy bastards have ruined college football. Kept squeezing fans until they had enough now people have quit going. Now it’s going back the other way and they are begging us to come back.

Just bought a Samsung 82” QLED for $1,099.

Went down to $999 a few weeks later. Haven’t seen the same one for less that $1,400 anywhere else.

This is a reason us “older guys” don’t think much of Florida. They had a moment with spurrier and urban but that program is middle of the road all time.

Mate, it’s saying you can use it for two tickets to any home game. Not two season ticket packs.

I don’t even think you can use it for the Georgia game. One other, but can’t remember which.

Louisville is doing this too, iirc

I think it’s a good thing. Better than empty upper deck corners

I love the irony. You’re greeted by rows and rows of flashy HD big screen TVs as you enter Costco. They lure you to stay home and watch your beloved team in the comfort of your home. Only to be confronted by a display of cheap tickets for your beloved team, sadly begging you to come to the actual game!

Yeah.

He’s rich. I’m not. Even if I were, no way I’m hanging a car ($20k) on my wall.

They are. It’s quite a step up from the old days of free tickets with a gas purchase at local stations.

There is a lot to be said for going to the game. But for the money you would spend to go in person (with Wife) you could have a couple of friends and family over and put on a class A throw down at the comfort of your house. I’m at the age this is the reason we stay at home.
