Every fan of every SEC team tried to warn TAMU, as did FSU fans.

The state he left that (FSU) program in when he left, was unconscionable.

I actually think A&M is in a good bit better a spot today than Florida State was when Jimbo left.

Gee, if only I had listened to a discussion board and exerted my influence on the BMA’s to go in a different direction.

It’s a gamble for sure.
You win some, you lose some.
I agree that every university would like to be in possession of a crystal ball—most SEC schools, included.

Agree. This board should have warned Woodward. Missed a second opportunity to warn Woodward when he tried to hire Jimbo after taking AD position at LSU.

Maybe. But with the transfer portal, the new coach may take over a very depleted roster.

At least I hope so

9 out of 10 SEC fans did not try to warn TAMU and did not give a shite when they hired Jimbo

I’m not really sure there is anything you could look back on and say that’s why they shouldn’t have hired him. I personally feel like his offense was overrated. It’s the same offense he ran at FSU with EJ Manuel. Without Jameis he’s a poor man’s Mark Richt

At the time I was told by a very credible FSU booster that Jimbo had started at FSU with excellent assistant coaches, that did not stay due to financial limitations etc. and that by his last year Jimbo was in program-level freefall. He told me that Jimbo would be a disaster and I posted it here and got drowned out by Aggies.

I don’t know if he’s a disaster. He just didn’t take the program to the level he was paid to do. He couldn’t hold Bryan Harsin’s jockstrap in fricking up a program

Seethe about Woodward leaving y’all for daddy LSU. 2 national championships and counting while your dumpster fire school is doing gay things in Austin for buyout money

This makes very little sense, that seems like an admission of a lack of financial support by FSU

He told me that Jimbo would be a disaster

now THIS makes sense

When Jimbo had his wife cheat on him with a young player; that should have been enough for anyone to see that he had no ability to maintain control of a program

People used to joke about Richt losing control…. Well, nothing even close to this

Yep. Regardless of the why, the stench on the FSU program was undeniable by the time Jimbo left for College Station.
