Nah, there are more deserving teams than the mulligumps this year.

yeah one was advocating for a 9 game conference schedule, but your people were among the many who voted against it.

And bc of your rent-a-win against Tennessee, the rest of us have to play in permanent cross division games.

Let's go to a 9 game conference schedule and make only division games count for division standings, and keep current cross division opponents. You support that idea?

Its appealing. 2 wins in one year would even further flip the script

Isn’t “deserving” based on all the other candidates

There is a fairly articulable scenario where Alabama is the only 1-Loss Power-5 team come selection Sunday

You do realize that 2/3 of the conference voted to keep the permanent games right?

CFP committee has already shown their hand. Georgia has the worst loss in the top 15 and they jumped Bama. Quality wins will be the deciding factor. If we have a one loss Pac 12 or one loss Big 12 champ they're in. Alabama just won't have a quality win to top those teams.

We've seen that movie before. No thanks. It's incredibly difficult to beat a team twice in one year.

First of all, why in the world would you want to play a team again that you've already beaten, especially considering how evenly matched the first meeting was? It's lunacy. Second, alabama isn't making the playoffs so you don't need to worry about it.

Agreed, it's either dumb bravado or just pure stupidity

It's relatively low upside for huge downside.

LSU beat the dog out of Alabama this year and the game really wasn’t close

Beginning with the 2nd half kick off, Alabama's offense never possessed the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead. Think about that....in the 2nd half, there was never a threat to the LSU lead. That's a pretty decisive victory.

Bama and Saban have been calling for it for years.

What was LSU's position?

I don’t see stubborn Les on those sidlines, and LSU no longer runs his seventies offense. It’s different. I would compare it tto the ‘03 LSU - UGA dynamic where we beat a very talented UGA team in the regular season as the better team, then removed all doubt as we dominated them in the rematch in the SEC championship. Something similar would happen, if LSU were to face Alabama in the postseason.

So you support going to a 9 conference game format, but only letting division games count towards division standings, and keeping current cross division permanents?

I don't. A playoff without Alabama is a good thing.
