only divide fans

If this board is any indication, I don’t see much fan division on this issue.

if Burrow said he doesn't care

Oh please let this happen. I could totally see him being asked in a press conference and him saying they can do whatever they want.
I’m trying to understand how someone could do this and not see how selfish and entitled it appears. I can be one selfish SOB, but I just couldn’t see myself even contemplating doing something like this.

I have a feeling many in the media will come to his defense. If only because it’s trendy to dump on LSU these days. I’m also surprised this wasn’t a Pat Forde story.
Echoing the sentiment earlier in the thread, I’d also be a horrible coach/recruiter because I’d let this kid walk. What this might also tell me is that if he’s not starting year one, he’s transferring.

And was cut I believe.
Crazy that BYU still has same head coach. He was hired in the Miles era.

Exciting, competitive football. Even some of the wins felt like losses last year. And of course being in the conversation for the playoff down the stretch.

Jayden’s jersey will be retired by LSU as will Joe’s but LSU doesn’t retire numbers anymore since new rule in 2007.

Yes - “ the retirement of an athlete’s jersey in a particular sport does not preclude a current student-athlete in that sport from wearing the jersey number in that or any other sport, subject to the discretion of the head coach. This provision applies only to jerseys retired after January 1, 2007.
Yeah, but as we’ve seen even recently numbers can be retired and still be worn.
Yeah, there must be some serious lens distortion there or Pickett had a growth spurt and Green is 6’10”. Leavitt is listed at 6’2” and Seaton at 6’5”.

Would be cool to have 5 and 9 back in the rotation. Maybe let former Heisman winners pick the player.

Nawrocki? Pretty safe to say he will only pitch.

Ole Miss beat LSU last year by 5 pts at home against the103rd ranked offense in the country. If we can’t make up those 5 pts (and then some) with a better offense and defense, I’ll be shocked.
REBEL5 AC is either the Ole Miss Locked On guy or an acolyte without no original takes.

Sounds like a Steven Willis take.

This is the right answer. If you grew up watching college basketball in that era, you know how many amazing rosters there were.

His Lane is pretty close. I don't know that I've heard a better Coach O.
If his max is 20 mph, he could possibly run a 4.5 40.

He already looks like a big leaguer. He'll be at LSU for three years, too.

Why do I get the feeling that, once Chambliss gets his extra year, Ole Miss fans will be changing their tune on this. Coach Joe Judge will be saying tomrrow he's a first round pick instead of saying "there's no gaurantee" he'll be drafted at all.

Coach Joe Judge was asked in court if Chambliss would be drafted this year. He said there's no guarantee. It's safe to say that he would be drafted in the first two rounds the way he's moving up draft boards.

I feel like LSU football fans and LSU basketball fans might be two entirely different groups of people. I can’t imagine football fans at this level of resignation.
