Even though they don’t deserve it, I hope Alabama gets to play LSU again

This has a very different feel than 2011. LSU beat the dog out of Alabama this year and the game really wasn’t close. LSU is clearly the better team and they will have no trouble getting up for another game against Alabama. After 8 years of grief and having it rubbed in their faces, I have a feeling that LSU will want to unload on Alabama again rather than a team they haven’t seen before.

If it happens, I think it is the best way for LSU to advance or win a national title. Clyde Edwards Helaire carrying the whole Bama defense 10 yards for that first down to end the game is the image I’m left with.
Bama is soft. LSU will win a rematch by 2-3 TDs.

Nobody saw it that way, but LSU fans. If they did Alabama would not be #5 right now.

Just like when everyone knew Alabama was a better team in 2011 thus they voted for the rematch.

The biggest positive to LSU beating Alabama again this year would be that it would hopefully shut Alabama's backdoor for good.

You’re saying everyone knows LSU is the better team now?

I agree.

I saw an LSU team get comfortable up by 20, and when they felt threatened, started scoring at will... again.

Watch the game again. It was a fluke. Missed a terrible PI call on Bama. Bamas only offensive TD in the first half came on some gimmick bullshite quick snap. Four missed face mask penalties. They had to convert 2 fourth downs in the 4th quarter and a 3rd and 19 to stay in it.

It was a fluke. LSU should have won by 20.

And if we’re being honest Tua will still be hurt, he’s literally always hurt.

You literally never had the ball with a chance to win it. You never had a chance to take the lead in the 2nd half.

It was a fluke game. The score doesn’t reflect how badly you were outmatched and our coached.

Also you being 5th shows the committee causing quality wins over quality losses. Who’s 6 and 7?

Bama had 14 fluky points to make the score much closer than it could have been. I for one would give anything to catch Bama in the semifinal. We will beat that arse by 20+ on a neutral field. Come get you some more bama!

I mean, there were several posters and multiple threads started by them over the past year trying to argue that 29-0 was actually a lot closer than it was, so does it surprise you that they are trying make it seem like a 5 point victory was actually flukey blowout??

Nah, I don’t like seeing undeserving teams gets multiple opportunities. If they want to throw a tantrum about being left out, don’t schedule duke as your premier ooc game.

The only people throwing tantrums over it are LSU fans. And we scheduled Miami, who LSU scheduled just last year, and they backed out. Duke was the only team to step up. Not that it would've really mattered this year.

There were a multitude of things Alabama could have done to help their schedule but they refused.
