It’s really not, the SEC show is awful, GameDay is slightly better… but both are not good

Has Corso been sent out to pasture yet? That would be an immediate upgrade in quality.

That game has no bearing on the opener.

Gameday is great. It's fun. College football is fun. You don't watch Gameday for hard hitting facts and analysis. You watch for the crowd, for the signs, for the kids having fun, for the traditions and antics of whatever school/game is being showcased, and to see a man who has had this game in his blood for half a century have fun with the crowd and put on a silly hat.

If you want stone-faced reporters taking interviews like the game is super serious business with severe global implications on everyone's lives, you should be watching your football on Sundays.

To me, watching the crowds have fun and the hosts laughing and getting into it with each other and the crowds is a damn fine way to start a college football Saturday morning, while I cook breakfast and play with the kids.

Yeah I’m not sure if everyone is trying to be edgy and hate in game day, but most everyone I know looks forward to waking up on a Saturday and turning it on.

It gets my day started

Lived in Columbus for 5 years when working for one of softwares top companies in the 90's...... It is anything but "yuck city" and it was probably my favorite city and I've lived in places from coast to coast. It's extremely vibrant, one of America's software hubs, tons of things to do with a good cost of living index and a fantastic dining scene . My family enjoyed our stay there and have nothing but good memories...... Oh, and even though I'm not an OSU fan saturdays in Columbus in the fall are indescribable.

I hope OSU throttles them and makes ND look like they don’t belong and then LSU does the same to FSU

Making gameday 3 hours and more about sob stories than Football killed it. Plus Corso needs to retire.

But it’s not that. It’s human interest pieces, social justices pt’s on the back, and Corso not being able to string together 5 sentences period, and 2 off the cuff.

Corso was the absolute best thing about college football 10 years ago. I mean the freaking best.

Gameday needs to go back to 2 hours and cut anything not related to play on the field. They also need to cut out the corporate bullshite in the crowds. Let them be organic like they used to be.

I dislike Ohio State, but at least we MIGHT see Notre Dame's playoff hype die early this year.

I haven't looked at the rest of their schedule but it's probably shitty. For that reason, I doubt even a blowout loss to OSU will keep ND out of the playoff hype. They'll likely win the rest of their games and ESPN will hype them as having "improved so much since the OSU loss", although it be against crappy opponents. They do this just about every year to either ND or one of the Big 10 schools. It's the same old broken record.
