Unless the 9th game is a neutral site, no we shouldn't. Do you want a season where LSU has five road games when Bama only has four? Yeah, I didn't think so....

Texas-OU is neutral site and I think A&M-Hogs have been playing at Jerryworld. But I wouldn’t worry about the 5-away/4-home difference since it will flip every other year anyway.

If you have a perpetually good roster, you can say that. For the teams who's rosters fluctuate from year to year is a HUGE concern. They would have to hit the right roster AND the right schedule. No Thanks.

If you want your team to have a chance at playoff more than once a decade why would you want that when other conf have weak conf schedules and get a free ride to the playoffs every year With 12 teams and more SoS won’t matter it’s all about w/l record. I’m all for 9 game conf schedule or even more but rotate every year. Yearly college rivalries are a thing of the past with new format of CFB. I’ve always been a traditional CFB fan but with this landscape it’s just not tenable if you want to be a successful CFB program.

We still haven’t started talking about the 4 Division Pod system. this is gonna be a long offseason discussion if we go to 9, and then whether we go to 2 divisions, or 4 pods. Etc etc.

No thanks. Last season proved this isn't worth it.

I would be for 10.

I would too, especially if no divisions.
If 9, should bring divisions back, and do the odd numbers like the NFL.

Before people start making Pods, I’d like to say FU to anyone that start passing around a Big 12 pod with OU, horn, A&M, Mizzou. Barf. I rather be in a Pod with LSU, Arkansas, Auburn.

$5,000,000 more per team? Garbage offer. That’s like 3 4-star kids in this economy and below our present avg per game pay from ESPN.

We better counter at $10 million

Payroll for the average SEC is going to be $20M? That 9th game only covers 25% of our roster payroll, or 12.5% of horn’s $40M roster.

$10M each would cover 50% of most team’s football payroll. I like it.

Meanwhile Indiana canceled their Louisville game and replaced game with FCS school. They made the playoffs.

I think this was more in the spirit of those who play Southwest Louisiana or someone the weekend before Thanksgiving, I’m sure the ACC rival games would be exempt

I don’t care what Bama is doing. If LSU is doing what it's supposed to do, it won't matter what anyone else is doing.

3 permanent opponents?

I assume UGA would be UF, Auburn and either Vandy or UK but possibly South Carolina. USC has not been a conference foe as long as the other 2 but UGA has played them a BUNCH....

Looks like UGA has played USC about the same number of times as Kentucky, around 78 or so, while they have played Vandy about 90 times. Of course everybody is going to want Vandy as a permanent opponent LOL...

Looks like maybe Vandy has played UT, UK and Ole Miss more than anyone in the conference...

I’d like to see OU A&M. That was always a wild game and got chippy

I have many OU friends and most say they hate A&M more than Texas

The rumored permanent 3 for OU is a joke. Texas Arkansas and Mizzou

As they should.

If half of the conference is trading a game vs. Directional State U for an SEC loss then show us the fricking money.
