How will ESPN determine which athletes are “women?”

Its' always been behind basketball and volleyball. Not sure about other women's sports.

I love watching LSU women's basketball but I will never commit myself to being a regular in regard to watching the WNBA. I have never watched a single WNBA game and will continue that tradition.
I was disappointed that these real women in the WNBA have never made a unified statement against biological men playing in women's sports on any level. They certainly have the platform to do so, but I guess they don't feel it is an important issue right now. Just wait until those mental cases begin trying to compete in real women basketball, maybe then they'll care.

The vast majority of men do not have any interest in watching women play sports

The news has been featuring these stories about girls being "empowered" to play sports lately, and I was walking through the room at home and caught a glimpse of what I immediately assumed was a little league girl's hockey team scoring a goal during a game (or some sort of practice).

Turns out it was the U.S. women's hockey team.

True story. I shite you not, for a second or two I thought our gold-medal winning female hockey team was a bunch of unsteady little kids practicing.

This just simply isn't true my Wildcat brethren.

MLB Sunday Night Baseball has moved to being nationally televised in every household on NBC this season. MLB saw record viewership last season. ESPN is being forced to backfill their now empty Sunday prime time slot with women's sports absolutely no one is going to tune into, because ESPN continues to double down on their dumbassery.

I was so glad when they finally switched to more football coverage than baseball coverage. They really needed their own baseball channel back then.

MLB is of course always going to paint the rosiest picture they can. Viewer ship and ratings may have been up last season. But interest and ratings for MLB have been on a steady decrease for a long time.

That graph is viewership and ratings of the World Series, which is a very good indicator of overall popularity. There are a number of spikes, based on who played, but the overall trend is down.

The NFL Super Bowl has shown the exact opposite.

MLB fans are aging out (that’s a nice way to say dying) and not being replaced at the same rate.

When high-payroll rosters hold a significant, almost overwhelming advantage in getting to the World Series, people tune out.

It's the exact reason NIL will kill college sports.

Oh, Lawd. Don't post that on the M/TV Board. The entertainment centrists will twist themselves into pretzels arguing that's a good thing.

There are people on that board who have argued for years that Disney's stock is doing okay.
