a touted transfer QB to replace the long tenured, perceived game manager

Guess we're gonna overlook the fact they had basically the same numbers in 2019 except one of them threw a pick every 32nd pass attempt or so while the other was more around 77 pass attempts per pick.

Have they not gone 11-1 in each of the past three regular seasons?

I never said the system or the QB would work. But new is attractive and new is better than what we had which inspires optimism in the media. Sorry.

ETA: Also, one of them played with UGA athletes, the other played for Wale Forest. The people who know better think highly of the kid and that’s all I need to hear to feel optimistic

Gee that’s great. So you’re returning a lot from a team that got blasted 50-7 in their final regular season game.

I think #4 is really fair. The offense is still a question mark, but every stat and metric points to Georgia having by far the best defense in the country.

lol@ Dawgs shitting on me. No big surprise. I wasn't even dumping on ya'll You guys have the advantage of being ranked very high season after season. Kinda like OU until they get rekt.

I agree @ your defense, but losing your QB who has been the starter for 2-3 years is equivalent to LSU losing their star QB yet we're barely scrapping the top 10.

It is in this case.

I forgot about the whole element of playing QB wherein it’s just you alone versus 11 other guys, making your level of competition the most important thing. My mistake.

He was better than Fromm in passing tds, comp%, YPA, and in all rushing stats.

According to 2019 scoring defense.

No the hell it is not we are replacing our game manager with a 2 year starter with a 60% completion percentage and the ability to actually run the ball. LSU lost arguably the greatest single season QB performance of all time and is replacing it with a career backup who had been too skinny to play the position as of a year or two ago.

Uh what?

LINK

You’d be hard pressed to find someone on here who doesn’t think Georgia will have the best defense.

We also return the most production on defense by far.

Fromm and burrow, so similar you can’t even tell them apart.

Fromm had pretty clean pockets all season, while Newman really didn't have a clean pocket against a P5 opponent all season. He still showed good poise, arm strength, and accuracy. If you switched the two last season I think Fromm would have looked much worse behind a line that couldn't hold water. That's still not to say that Fromm couldn't be better in the right situation, but on that Wake team Fromm's numbers would have been terrible.

Are you serious right now?

It was 7.9 >7.4

60.9% > 60.8%

Really grasping at straws now there.

They gave up 23 sacks the entire year.

Was your defense elite in 2019? They played no good quarterback outside of Burrow and maybe Trask?

Link doesn’t work. Alabama with the amount of freshman they played last year with the Saban effect will have as good if not better. Then you got Florida Auburn and Clemson. Your telling me your defense is better than all those teams??
