OSU-Michigan is such a joke, overrated rivalry. I don't get it, they encounter each one day a year and then Michigan fans go back to Michigan and OSU fans go back to Ohio. They don't experience a full fledge rivalry year round living next door to the enemy. As an Alabama fan I hate Tennessee and love beating them, but to compare it to Auburn is a joke because I rarely interact with Tennessee fans.

Of course it does, if you are a bama or auburn fan. For the rest of the nation, it's ohio state/michigan. Look at the poll. You think they just made that up?

This poll is biased. Those yankees up there just have more fans on the internet. Most of our fans have been disenfranchised due to lack of computers.

Whenever I find my bullshite car, I'm presenting it to you.

Texas-Oklahoma, The WLOCP, Florida-Florida State, Alabama-Tennessee, LSU-Bama, and Auburn-LSU are all better/more important rivalries than that shite between overrated midwest schools. Hell even though it's not that big of a rivalry. LSU-Arkansas means more in the landscape of college football and has been one, if not the best series of games in CFB the last 5-6 years.

In that poll, Michigan and Ohio combined have 10,000 votes. Alabama has 1,500

Eh, Boston LA is the battle of fairweather fans. In terms of intensity, nothing matches the IB.

No lie, with the amount of hatred brewing from Auburn and Alabama fans these days, I'm worried you'll see reports of assault or murder between some of the more idiotic fans during football season over simple disputes over which team is better or some shite.

Baseball is awesome, and both teams in Alabama had some legit seasons last year.

I'm guessing the people that keep slamming this rivalry weren't alive or old enough to remember the 60's or 80's.

That is true.

I just think all of the rivalries mentioned are very good and I personally don't have the need to try to denegrate the ones that I don't have a personal rooting interest in.

I think all of those rivalries, except OSU/MU, are fun to watch.

fifth only because ESPN provided just 5 choices. Had they thrown in Texas-OU, Giants-Eagles, Duke-UNC, and a number of others, 'Bama-Auburn wouldn't be statistically significant.

You don't enjoy waking up at 11 am to watch some Big Ten football? Come on, it's the best rivalry they got up there even if they are from different states. Don't you know they both used to be good and ESPN pimps it hardcore?

I live in LA, and the amount of fairweather fans is ridiculous. Boston fans are generally more devoted, but pro-sports fans in general don't have the fanaticism that college sports fans tend to show.

If we're going by pomp and circumstance and pageantry, then for sure it should be mentioned. However, when I think rivalry, I think fierceness and intensity and hatred.

Ann Arbor-Columbus: 192 miles
Tuscaloosa-Auburn: 188 miles.

4 miles makes all the difference?

I love seeing LSU fans explain our rivalry to us. Who is yours again? Tulane?
