Auburn fans need to stop living in denial.. I had a MSU student trainer who told me this exact story over a month ago at work. All this info that most of Starkville have known about since the incident occured is just now being leaked to the media. I agree, something definitive needs to be done ASAP or the Aubbie's could cost an SEC team a shot at the NC

Maybe, if we're talking about cash. For the amount of money they're investigating, there will be some kind of money trail. Pretty sure we're not talking about $200k in cash being dropped at the doorstep of the church.

As I said from day 1. Too many people involved. Loose lips sink ships. Aubie is the TITANIC.

Have there been names of any other possible "paid for" recruits brought up?

Turns out to be true, we'll take our lumps and probation is on the horizon. Heads need to roll and we need to clean house though. This will completely mar the program for years to come.

What really sucks is that this could seriously put AU down for a significant amount of time. That would in turn make the SEC less powerful. I'm sorry for AU fans but you may want to get a jar of lube big enough for a felony stay in prison.

Schad said the NCAA has requested ban statements from Cecil on his personal account and church account. If this is all bs then why would they as for the ban statements?

I would think that bank statements would be a routine part of an investigation. It would mean that the NCAA is following up on what investigators consider reasonably serious or credible allegations to see if there is any other substatiation. The records request, however, doesn't mean that the allegations are actually true, but only that they are sufficiently serious to merit further investigation.

what if the ruling comes in about two or so weeks from now and Auburn is forced to vacate wins...would LSU make it to Atlanta? Auburn would be 0-8 in the SEC after vacating wins

If they get vacated lsu would have to lose 2 games not to get to Atlanta

Well I just learned that the Aub loss would still be a loss, so if LSU loses 1 game Bama would go if they win out bc LSU would have 2 Ls in the SECW.

Cecil Newton needs to get the uhaul ready and get the hell out of bama, this is gonna get ugly. Papa Newton is a douche and ruined his son's season and Auburn's for years to come. USC-w just moved over to make room for the barners.

If LSU wins out, LSU would go, if Auburn forfeits games before the SECCG. LSU would, as I understand it have 1 loss or no losses, depending on how the forfeit is treated, and all of the other West schools would have at least 1 loss or 2. LSU would have the tie breaker against Arkansas and MSU. If LSU loses to Arkansas, I think Arkansas would go if Arkansas beats MSU. If LSU loses to Ole Miss, but beats Arkansas, LSU still goes if Auburn forfeits since LSU would have the tie breaker over Arkansas, MSU and Alabama.

If Arkansas loses to MSU and beats LSU, and LSU beats Ole Miss, and MSU beats Ole Miss, there is a three way tie, and the next tiebreaker rule comes into play. In theory, I suspose that there could be a 4-way tie if Alabama beats Auburn or Auburn wins and then forfeits. Then everything would depend on how the forfeit affects the won-loss record of the other teams.

I think that is how it would work, anyway. If not, I am sure someone will happily correct me. And I assume someone can explain the tiebreaker if there were a 3-way tie

Both teams would have 2 SEC losses. 1st tiebreak is head to head
