I’ve always been in favor of playing OB like a lateral hazard that can’t be hit out of. Certainly would speed up play.
They put a local rule in that does that. Drop in the fairway hitting 4

It's harsh. Unlike a hazard, the OB penalty is stroke and distance. If you hit into a hazard area, you have a penalty stroke but you drop from point of entry. It's a very harsh penalty.
Well, yeah. Because it’s not a hazard. Don’t hit it OB

Very strange to me he’s doesn’t have a putting guru on his team . He wins this week by 3/4 if he makes 40% of makables a day. Crazy how bad he putted
He works with Phil Kenyon, the #1 ranked putting coach in the world……
People seem to forget how bad he putted two years ago

How is out of bounds a bad rule?

It’s Moline, IL. The town doesn’t care who’s playing and supports the tourney. They also invite a ton of young college players. The tour needs events like this

I'll be interested if more people on tour ever make the switch from the Spider Tour X (the most used putter on tour).
Zero torque doesn’t fit everyone, especially guys that are good putters already and release the putter a certain way. ZT putters normally require a change to the stroke

He doesn’t understand what shallowing is. Scottie is shallowing in his swing. The COM moves behind the hands and the club shallows.

Well, you didn’t do a fitting for the older model. So I wouldn’t expect everything to be the same as the fitting. So you’d need to adjust expectations

Have you guys tried to adjust the club to open on the hosel settings? My R7 sat closed to me as well. Opening it up made a world of difference.
You can't open the face without lowering the loft. Which wouldn't make much sense with the mini driver unless you have the 15.5* version or want to play the 13.5 as basically an 11.5 degree driver.

Don’t they all pretty much get your swing data and input it into a formula that spits out the clubs that fit your swing the best?
That would be a bad fitter, or essentially what Club Champion does

The Qi4D that was just released is a much better driver than the 35. The Qi10 is probably a better driver than the 35

Rory isn't playing this week so he will likely be in Houston or San Antonio for one of them. He's played at least one of the two the past two years. Before that, the warmup was Austin for the WBC match play.
He hasn't had a back injury all those years. Don't think he'll play if the back is bothersome

others suggest lower usage among elite, top-50 putting ranked players.
Of course. Top 50 putters in the world probably don’t need to change to a zero torque putter…..
The putters require adjustment that most players won’t do. They’ll try the crappy stroke they have with other putters, and it’ll make no difference.
If you fight starting the ball on line, and you actually let a zero torque putter do the work, it helps.
If you have no issues starting the ball on line, there’s no point to changing.
Like all other clubs, it’ll fit some and not others
