not going to give espn a click but Newton had one year only. I dont count his scrap minutes at UF. So I assume this is for a season only and not a career. I wonder where or if any of the Bama QB's are ranked. We had several who had great years and one even won 2 natties and last I checked is still in the NFL as a back up

Burrow had 2 seasons; one was an all timer (like cams) but his 2018 season had worse numbers than jake fromm. Yet with that said, mac jones only had 1 season and is ranked way in the back. Kinda confusing on their criteria

Imo list should be

1 Burrow
2 Cam
3 Young
4 M. Jones
5 Tebow

Just off of stats/ production and off my personal eye.

Matt Jones sure was fun to watch. What a long stride smoooooth runner that boy.

His 40 time is faster than Tom Brady's.

Yes. Burrow should be #1. Manziel ruined his pro career by too much partying but as a college player he deserves to be in the top 5 for the 2000's.

Came after Cam and Tebow and owned the SEC record books after starting 2 years.

Wtf is Mayfield even on this list for?

I don't know if anyone suggests Burrow should be ahead of Newton.

Newton carried Auburn to a national title. Put them on his back.

If Burrow was of that caliber, he would have done it in 2018.

Manziel’s toxicity will keep him off of a lot of lists.

Yep, Burrow is not a team carrier like Cam. I wouldn’t even put him up on the level of VY or Tebow in that regards either.

Burrow was your average starter in 2018, absolutely average. He’s completely dependent upon a strong supporting cast like he got in 2019. He shouldn’t sniff #1 in this list given how much his WRs, RB, TE, and Brady made him better. He certainly didn’t make them better.

Manziel is top 10, for sure.

But RG3 did everything JFF did, but way better.

He was benched in 2004 because he was playing so shitty. But yeah it was a great 8 yard run.

Dumb arse.

I’m betting the only time you watched Texas play was the last 2 minutes of 2006 Rose Bowl, (2005 season).

In 2004, Texas went 11-1, beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl, and finished 5th.

I watched VY since his Sophomore year in high school, and he was the best player on the field in every game he played in until he left Texas. Can you say that about every QB on the list?

1. I’m biased, you know who.
2. Burrow. Magical season, Highlight reel every game. Never a doubt who was going to win.
3. Tebow, not so much his talent, but his will to win. Won 2 MNC.
4. Mayfield. The “over achiever” on the list. Fierce competitor. Did more with less. Douche Bag, prick, you name it. Too bad he never had a defense.
5. Cam: I never liked anything about Cam. &$¥¥@& Auburn.

I dont disagree with your assessment but to be fair, Burrow only came to LSU like a month before the season started.

He didnt even know his receivers' names in the first game and was learning the offense on the fly.

All of that is true. But the list doesn't seem to have a criteria. If it wins and losses, then it would be Aj McCarron, if it is best single seaspn then it would probably be Joe or Mac. I'll give it to Joe because I am tired of that argument. Is it seemingly unstoppable athleticism? Then Vince Young, RG3, and Cam Newton come to mind. Is it carrer yards passing then Murray. Is it leadership and inspiration, then it is Tim Tebow. And so on. This list seems to be just some guys ranking qb's they like.
