I think the lesson to be learned is great players can produce a great season (Auburn 2010, LSU 2019, etc.) however only great coaching can produce a great program.

LSU had great coaching last year. They don't this year. Ya'll can do the math.
LSU also had about the worst luck possible this year in terms of players being unavailable for a multitude of reasons.

I will give Orgeron a pass this year with everything that has happened. My guess is his number one issue right now is himself and at-home issues. He will have to be on damage control the rest of the season. He will have to make some coaching changes again, fight to keep the top players, and finish with a strong recruiting class. If he doesn't have LSU competitive next year and this trend continues - he is out.

That’s pretty messed up considering Chizik is employed by ESPN.

Nebraska doesn't really have a talent rich recruiting base
