Auburn will go 9-3 with losses to LSU, Georgia, and Alabama. AU will upset Arkansas who, without Bobby Petrino calling the shots, will be relegated to an 8-4 record.

You don't lose the brains of your offense and not take a hit.

Best: 9-3

Since Au is going 10-2...Chris is wrong.

4-12 against those four would be unacceptable.

With all four wins coming in the one season that had a Heisman trophy winner and guys on both sides of the trenches that had been starting games since the Barfield era.

The seat doesn't get hot unless we don't make it to a bowl and we get blown out even worse than last year by the same five.

People love Gene Chizik around here

Yep. For the most part, you've seen a unified defense from all of us Aubs about Chizik over the past 3 years. I think if he dropped those 4 games this year, there would be some differing opinions. I wouldn't say he needed to be fired, but I don't think I'd spend five minutes typing a response on why he needed more time either.

Only if we get our asses handed to us in the loses.
No excuse for that anymore.

I am typically a very low key guy on predictions. I never predict high win totals because we usually play a very tough schedule

But people are underestimating our team this year..

IF we can get some solid, not great, QB play out of Frazier this year, we are going to scare the hell out of some teams.

So, if I asked would Gene's seat get hot if he lost to those 4 again...would your seat get hot?

Yeah, this is definitely the "put up or shut up" year for him. Yes, we're young, but at this point I'm tired of excuses. 2009 and 2010 were depth, 2011 was inexperience... At what point does it stop? We've finally reached the point where we have players that can beat people to the endzone - something we severely lacked in Tub's later years - and we've been pulling in top-notch talent for the past 3 years like we've never done before.

I'll give the offense a pass on this because Malzahn was a great hire, but the blame is squarely on Chizik's shoulders if our defense costs us games this year. At this point, we shouldn't be having to rebuild a giant dumpster fire left by the worst defensive coordinator in Auburn University history and I'm going to be severely disappointed if BVG isn't able to come in and turn it around fairly quickly. We never should've been put in this position in the first place and Chizik has had multiple opportunities to turn it around. Quite frankly, Roof should've been let go after 2010 because it was clear that Rocker was the only reason our defense was able to do anything that year.

And before someone brings it up, Malzahn's system is not the reason why Ted Roof didn't coach players how to tackle or find the ball. Our defense was on the field so much because we continuously gave up the long 3rd downs, regardless of the number of 3 & outs our offense went through last year.

All that being said, I really like the direction this program is headed in and I've got some great expectations for this year. All of that is if we limp to a 7-5 type finish again.

5-7. Chizik's on the hot seat next year. Malzahn was the brains of this outfit.

I think Auburn is a 7-5 team. No running back, no experience at quarterback, and a very very young and inexperienced offensive line. Good but not great talent on the edge. Just sounds like a problem.

The offense will be a lot simpler this year. Power run and throw every now and then.
