Correct

Oklahoma won .9 of several games under Lincoln Riley. Not winning the final .1 always resulted in a loss . . .

Lane kiffin is still coach and that’s enough for a couple bone headed losses every year.
So correct. Last years bone headed loss was at Bama

They will lose to OU and LSU for sure

This is a make or break year for Kiffin.
Ole Miss is all in and paid a ton of money for the players. If they don’t make the playoffs, the heat will get turned way up.
Now or never. I say 10-11 wins is expected. Anything less is a season thrown away.

I do not think they have the depth to compete for an SEC or national title.
This is the first year they have the defensive depth, it is not over loaded on the second and third deep but it a big upgrade in depth from the prior years under Kiff.

No lets get your thoughts on the Aggies over the last 15 years?

I have Ole Miss at 9-3.
If they get some breaks and some bounces go their way they could see 10-2 but it's more likely (This is Ole Miss Rebel Football we're talking about) that some calls and breaks don't go their way and they lose to LSU, Oklahoma, Arky and Georgia and finish a disappointing 8-4.

This is what I've noticed about the new-age NIL. The top teams, or superteams, have not changed one variation of a shadow. I don't think they are going to. But the bottom feeders, like Ole Miss and Missouri, have been able to improve their lot in life. So through the transfer portal and NIL, the downtrodden have been able to buy their way up the food chain.
Can they beat the superteams? There will always be upsets, so yes. As a matter of routine? NO. Superteams will continue to dominate college football.

Your post isn't very nice. I wish it weren't true, but....

It’s just amazing to me how everyone here seems to agree that 8 or so wins is to be expected, and yet when that happens they’re all gonna holler “what happened”????
I think 8-9 wins is spot on, as far as the “hollerin what happened” you’d have to assume no reasonable portion of the ole miss fan base believes you guys are playoff bound. Which would be a bold face lie

We shall see, but the reality is for all Ole Miss fans, y'all need this win. This LSU program is no better or worse than yours. You haven't been ready for the bright lights of the ALABAMA and Georgia games, but this team is a fair fight. Let's see you beat them in BR.
They typically don’t do well in Baton Rouge. Only two wins there since 2000

They don't play Alabama. Only Georgia really. LSU will be good though. If Ole Miss is really good which everyone seems to think, 10 wins is assured and why not them for the playoffs if that happens?

With what Ole Miss has coming back on offense and portal additions on defense, an 8-win season for them would be considered a failure. However, Saban talked over the years about the 'rat poison' of believing puffed up newspaper clippings. It's always better to be underrated psychologically. The players have something to prove, and the media types/talking heads rarely go out on limbs in pre-season.
