I'm ready to be a part of SOS woes instead of being #1 difficulty vs opponents. Give me a UK current and future outlook any day of the week. And I like UK, mind you.

Auburn plays LSU, Georgia, and Alabama.

Alabama plays LSU, Tennessee, and Auburn.

The other opponents are pretty much the exact same.

Why is Alabama’s ranked higher?

Edit - I can’t read.

That's to date.

Alabama - Miami, Mercer, Florida
Auburn - Akron, Alabama St, Penn St

Auburn is #2 and Alabama #11 in remaining SOS

So basically Florida and South Carolina have played either Bama or UGA and no one else has.

But I was told A&M had the best defense in the universe...

changes the narrative a bit when you see them at 111.

Rankings are shite. Chattanooga had 100 5 star players on that defense!

Not really the greatest way to measure IMHO.

You could have played Bama (1), Georgia (2) and the worst team in the country, UCONN (130) for a schedule average of 44.

Or you could have played Boston College, Rutgers and SMU for a schedule average of 43.

Which one do you consider the tougher schedule to date?

Our defense is so good that it made those teams’ ranking drop. Follow along piggy.

Agreed - averaging is pretty silly. That's why the "strength of record" thing seems more sensible.

Miami, @ Florida, @ Auburn, Tennessee
+ 3 cream puffs

is considered harder than

@ Penn State, Georgia, Alabama, @ SC
+ 3 cream puffs

Yeah i’m not sure that I agree.

How? 2 middle school teams and an average Big 10 team.
