During Petrino's tenure, my dad was the director of emergency services in Pulaski County or something like that. Somehow he and his ambulance service (MEMS) were contracted to work the Razorback fall camp before the season in 2009 or 2010, and part of that contract was a demonstration where paramedics showed the players how to perform CPR on one of their fellow players on the practice field. Apparently this is a pretty normal thing and happens before the beginning of fall camp every year.
Well Petrino had been absent for the first 15 minutes of the demonstration, then randomly shows up just ripping in to EVERYONE. "I don't want my fricking players seeing this! I don't want my guys seeing this shite! I don't want this to be on their fricking minds right now! I want every paramedic to get the frick out of here!"
He absolutely tore into the paramedics there trying to teach the players CPR and angrily cussed them out. His reasoning was that he didn't want his players thinking about being injured to the point of needing CPR, he thought it was just the greatest injustice and complete bullshite even though this was something they did every year.
I just remember my dad in 2010 or 2011 when the Hogs were in the top 10 actively rooting against them, and I couldn't understand why until I asked him. He said Petrino is the biggest dickhead douchebag he'd ever met and dog cussed paramedics that had literally volunteered their time to teach the team CPR.
Narrator: It later turned out that his dad was also a dickhead douchebag adulterer, that was able to recognize a fellow dickhead douchebag adulterer from a mile away
That being said, Petrino seems like a totally different coach and person now. I think the embarrassment at Arkansas really knocked him down about a dozen pegs

I know someone in the family that worked at ulta that checked out Petrino. This was a few months after he was fired and he bought over one thousand dollars worth of products. His hands were shaking and he acted very nervous but did say thanks when he left.
I believe the firing and the aftermath took a lot of his mojo and he wasn't the same after. Yeah he did have some good years at Louisville but his best years were behind him and his decline was coming quickly.
Petrino wouldn't have lasted long here if the crash didn't happen. Even if he did win multiple 10 plus seasons. He was never well liked here and that is the key of lasting here is getting along.

I think the whole thing is retarded. Arky was actually very dangerous under him.
Who gaf what the guy does in his personal life. He is paid money to coach. Too many fricking snowflakes everywhere.
For all we know his wife could have been hell on wheels. Either way that's his business who he sleeps with. You cucks are probably just low key hateful because you are stuck with the same fatass hag for the rest of your lives.

What rock have you been under? He was a boss doing the hokey-poke with an employee. If the university hadn’t fired him, they would have been up to their eyeballs in lawsuits.

This is pretty close..... FBI was called in because state trooper tried to cover it up. The chicks fiancé found out about the affair and went looking for him in his truck. Found Bobby riding and ran him off the road. Kick the chick out of the truck and said go be with your boyfriend bitch and took off. Jeep Cherokee pulled up and picked up Bobby and the girl. (person in the Cherokee later testified they saw a truck leaving the scene.) Bobby called the state trooper that was assigned as his escort on the way to the hospital and they concocted the first story to try and help cover it up which was Bobby just had a crash but soon after that story changed to he was teaching her to drive the motorcycle once it was confirmed that she was picked up at the scene with him by the same driver of the Cherokee after they were interviewed by state police and later the FBI.
One of the FBI agents investigating was husband of a person at Arkansas children's hospital in Little Rock and this was the story told to me after it happened. Made more sense than the girl driving the motorcycle crashing and not getting a single scratch. Take it for what it's worth

If that is the case then those lawsuits should have happened regardless and nothing happened. But that isn't why he was fired.

Petrino had to be fired because he hired his mistress to a university job. There is no other option.

No one knows but I wouldn't be surprised if he knew since the mistress and Petrino had been doing all those razorback events together for close to a year then wants her hired? Yeah I would be very suspicious if I was the AD that a married highly paid state employee was with a 25 year old former Arkansas volleyball player. Frank Broyles being the micromanger that he was would have found out what was going on real quick.

I think Petrino was upset from a player that died on the team a few days before and it seemed to make him angry about the score. I guess that made him think that Miles was trying to put more salt in the wound.

I think you have to assume settlements were paid out to prevent lawsuits.
Another problem was he hired her over more qualified applicants. It wouldn't surprise me if a few of those got paid as well. I may or may not have known one of the applicants, and she may or may not have been much more qualified for the job but got passed up bc he was banging the volleyball girl

Petrino recommend her and Long approved the hire. So maybe Long should done a proper evaluation but since he probably took his word for it like an idiot then maybe none of the more qualified candidates ever came to the surface.
