I think LaMichal Perine will have a great year this year. Scarlett was a very good back last year but he's obviously gone.

LSU picked up two great RB's this past cycle. Tyrion Davis wasn't rated as highly as some, but could turn out to be the best of the class, imo.

It will be interesting to see if Najee can finally live up to the hype.

Keytaon and Kylin? How's the State OL looking?

My guess is OL and DB is the strength of the team, with WR being a big weakness.

Perine will probably take on a greater percentage of carries, but we will see heavy doses of Dameon Pierce (6.1ypc last year) and Malik Davis (avg 100yds/gm in conference until injury against UGA in 2017) who will both be home run hitters more than every down/pound the rock types.

Ended up #8 composite RB, just outside Top 100 overall. But yeah, with his combination of power and speed you'd think he would have finished inside the Top 100 since 6'1 230 with 4.5 speed doesnt grow on trees...said since the beginning this kid is a Jeremy Hill clone

He averages 6.7 YPA over his career. He's only gotten over 10 carries in a game 5 times in 2 seasons because he was behind 2 NFL backs.

I'm not sure how he hasn't lived up to anything so far.

2017
Natl Title vs UGA : 6 for 64 (10.7)

2018
Vs A&M : 8 for 43 (5.4)
@ LSU : 6 for 83 (13.8)
Playoff Vs OU : 6 for 45 (7.5)
Natl Title vs Clemson : 9 for 59 (6.6)

Should be by fall barring any setbacks. Running and cutting this spring

good question. He's had 2 ACL tears a year apart on different legs so it's obviously a concern. He's running and working out now but hasn't had contact in over a year.

We are holding our breath.

Really we won't know until the season actually starts. When Kirby came in he managed to silence almost all news that comes out of practice and training.

Obviously, he has performed well with the opportunities he has had. Based on the hype surrounding him when he was being recruited, one would have expected him to be in the Heisman talk by now.

He was behind a 1st round pick and a 2-3rd round pick.

He's been very good so far. Happy to see him get more carries this year.

What's a running back? Been so long since we had an explosive one I've forgotten.

Is Zeus more talented than Swift?

If he is, the SEC is fricked.

All kidding aside, there are two other guys that will battle for the #2 spot for the Dawgs as well.

#1 - Swift JR - Very good all around RB. Elite top end speed with a nasty one-cut move that leaves defenders grasping for air. Needs to improve his vision to reach the same level as Sony or Chubb.

#2A - Herrien SR - Will most likely get the #2 spot to start the year. Could have a season like Holyfield had last year if he fends of the youngsters.

#2B - Zeus RsFR - Ultimate wildcard. Uber talented in HS, but had two consecutive ACLs and hasn't had a live game carry since 2017. I expect him to work back in slowly throughout the year.

#3 - Cook SO - If all goes well with Herrien and Zeus I expect to see this former 5-star used in a little more non-traditional manner. Look for end arounds, jet sweeps, and getting Cook the ball in space.

Yes he is. He's been impossible to read because people close say they aren't sure he can give up football but he's projected first round and an MLB isn't going to want their 1st round pick playing SEC RB and especially not after the A's had the Murray crap.

Fingers crossed though
